Hello ,
Well, Hello November !! with a fizz, bang, pop !!
The 3C's Programme
Look out for the launch of my 3C's Programme — Complete Care for Christmas — which starts from 15 November.
This is a 6-week programme which will take you up to Christmas and for those who sign up this is what you will receive in your inbox every Monday:
- A video link for the workout for that week
- Self-Care tasks for that week
- Nutritional and Diet focus
I am really excited to have Jackie Barber sharing her expertise on this programme. Jackie is a Food Intolerance & Nutrition Consultant, Hypnotherapist & Healer at Pure Balance. So Jackie will be providing a video to share some of her wisdom and tips to help us with our nutrition and eating habits every week. You can check out Jackie on her website purebalancetherapy.co.uk or search for her YouTube channel — Jackie Barber — Pure Balance Essex UK.
As an added bonus, Wendy Gamble who is a Mindful Meditation Practitioner will also be providing a meditation for us as part of the Self-Care.
Everyone who joins us will receive an Accountability Record, to keep account of what you have achieved every week. This is to help keep us on track, motivated, and to give us an idea of how much time we invest in our own wellbeing.
If you haven't already expressed an interest, please let me know if you want to join — simply by replying to this Newsletter — it's absolutely free for exisiting JTP Zone members, and just £30 for non-members.

Unfortunately Mary was ill last week so replacement classes will be added on to the end of this block — on Wednesday 8 December. If you aren’t able to attend on that date then please just book a Catchup using the online Catchup system (link below).
Remember also to use the online Catchups system if you will miss your regular class, so you can book a Catchup space in another class, and free your space up to others looking for a Catchup.

Start at the ABC
If you have never done Pilates before, or maybe you have done a few sessions in the past but feel ready to start again … then why not try my Absolute Beginners Course?
The Absolute Beginners Course introduces you to the correct techniques and gives you the foundation exercises needed to enable you to take up regular Pilates classes when you feel ready.
At just £60 here’s what’s included:

- Free online 30 minutes consultation with Jane once completed the 6 sessions
This course allows you to work at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home, and with access to the training videos on demand means you can practice and repeat as often as you want.
This week I am going back to the principles of Pilates.
A couple of weeks ago I looked at Concentration so this week I want to share Breathing. The mind/body connection of Pilates is focused breathing which allows the mind to switch off to the external noise and tune into movement and feelings.
Take a moment and practise these exercises. As with every Exercise Of The Week, keep away from pain and work at the appropriate level for your body.
One of my favourite books is called Into The Magic Shop by Dr James R Doty, who is a Neurosurgeon.
In the book he talks about the alphabet of the heart, and how research has been done to discover how being compassionate, altruistic and kind can affect the reward centres in the brain. This can then have a positive affect on the rest of our physiology.
Putting this in simpler terms means that compassion and kindness is good for your health. And Dr Doty believes there are ten things that open the heart and these ten things form the alphabet of the heart:
- C = Compassion — it's easier for most of us to be compassionate to others, but not to ourselves. But in order for us to give to others it has to start with being compassionate to oneself
- D = Dignity — is innate in every person, and it needs to be recognised and acknowledged
- E = Equanimity — which means we practise an evenness of temperament even during difficult times
- F = Forgiveness — a great gift we can give to others, but it is also one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves
- G = Gratitude — recognising our blessings in life, even when we are suffering either with pain or when we might feel we have nothing to be grateful for, gratitude has a huge effect on mental health
- H = Humility — is an attribute and when we look at each other as equals we truly connect
- I = Integrity — is about defining values that are important to us and that we live by
- J = Justice — seeking justice for the vulnerable defines our society and humanity, and gives meaning to life
- K = Kindness — often seen as being an element of compassion, but an act of kindness can benefit the giver as well as the receiver. It also ripples outwards, becomes contagious and ultimately returns back to us
- L = Love — when given freely changes everyone and everything.
Using the Heart Alphabet will help to connect with your heart. If you think of one part of the alphabet and what it stands for in your life, you will feel centred in a better place and set your intentions and purpose.
Have a great week, and keep moving...
Jane xx
