Hello ,
It's an absolute cracker of a Newsletter this week — so apologies for the length of it — but please stick with it! There's lots of interesting news to tell you.
Please note: For the safety of clients and staff, all our face-to-face classes and sessions are Covid-Secure.
With Covid-Security in mind, I should add that some of our local venues have issued their own Covid-Secure recommendations, which we just want to bring to your attention:
- classmembers should wear masks where possible (on entrance and exit — but not during exercise)
- we must keep rooms ventilated
- users should not attend if feeling unwell
- users should take a lateral flow test if appropriate prior to coming, and not attend if this is positive
- users should maintain hand-sanitising throughout.

A lovely little stretch this week for the Glute Medius — this is taken from a Yoga position and I have just adapted it a little to apply
Pilates principles to it.
See how it feels and make sure you work appropriately for your body. You may need to sit on a yoga block, or a folded towel or flat pillow to help maintain your neutral posture.
Well the Christmas decorations are well and truly taken down and packed away for another year, and New Year's Day already feels like it was weeks and weeks ago.
Have you had to write the date on anything yet? … How’s that going, are you still writing 2021 like me?
I always find January and February can feel a bit flat, a bit grey — and I’m not talking about the weather here — but it can be difficult to feel motivated to get going. It can feel as if we just want to curl up in front of a fire, wrapped up in a warm blanket, drinking hot chocolate and watching a favourite movie on tv or reading your latest favourite
book.
I just want to say that this is completely NORMAL … there is nothing wrong with feeling like this at all. What I would say though is open your arms and welcome these feelings of wanting comfort, warmth, coziness, all the things that can feed our soul and make us feel cared for, safe, and loved.
Not every day will feel like this, but some will, so go with the flow and allow yourself this time, because tomorrow may be different.
Have a great week, and keep moving...
Jane xx
