When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without a crack showing in it.
Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it but all that had gone before

I loved this video and the quote that goes with it. It is so very true.
If we think about our physical self, the aches and pains are not the result of one single action alone, but the build up and repetitions of those actions.
If we think about our mental self, the stresses and worries are not the result of one single action, but the build up and repetition of same actions.
So obviously, just like the stonecutter, the first blow to the stone isn’t the blow that will make the change. But if we persevere, practise and be patient, with every blow we make we are taking a step towards the changes we want to make.
Think of the 3 Ps:
• Persevere
• Practise
• Patience
Whatever it is in your life that you want to change, whether it be related to aches and pains or mindset matters … remember to keep going, don’t give up, and make one step (blow) at a time and think of the stonecutter.
