As usual, links to join individual Live classes are available for members on the jtp.zone website. Also, all classes are recorded as they are broadcast, and made available soon after for members, on demand — 24/7 — as often as you want — too. So you never need to miss a class!
Face-to-Face Classes
We are back into full face-to-face classes, following the half-term break. Traudi’s classes are using resistance bands this term, and Jenny’s going to be using hand weights, so if you attend these classes make sure you take your prop with you, but also if you attend these sessions for Catchups you will also need the appropriate prop. And if you attend Traudi’s class we will be organising a replacement for the classes cancelled due to the car accident and will let
you know as soon as this is finalised.
Also everyone who attends face-to-face classes — remember you have full access to all online classes, if you are unsure about how to use the online timetable, just reply to this Newsletter to receive clarification.

Start at the ABC
If you have never done Pilates before, or maybe you have done a few sessions in the past but feel ready to start again … then why not try my Absolute Beginners Course?
The Absolute Beginners Course introduces you to the correct techniques and gives you the foundation exercises needed to enable you to take up regular Pilates classes when you feel ready.
At just £30 here’s what’s included:
- 6 Class Videos progressing you through the exercises
- 52-page full colour training manual
- Free online 30 minutes consultation with Jane once completed the 6 sessions
This course allows you to work at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home, and with access to the training videos on demand means you can practice and repeat as often as you want.
This week I thought I would share some seated alternatives to some of the specific Pilates exercises that are used in regular Pilates classes. I hope you find them useful, specially if you have trouble getting down on to the floor, or you have
issues with kneeling etc. either because of injury, rehabilitation, or generally these are the problems you face on a day to day basis. You can still enjoy some exercise without having to be on the floor.
As with every Exercise Of The Week, keep away from pain, and work at the appropriate level for your body.
Here is the video.
At the moment everything is in a crazy, difficult place, and watching the daily news bulletins we are being shown the atrocities of what is happening between Russia and Ukraine and how that affects the rest of the world.
With what is going on it seems trivial for me to even try to find words to help us all deal with our own mindset and wellbeing, so I will use the following quote from the iconic sports professional Muhammad Ali:
Don’t count the days. Make the days count
Don’t wish your life away, don’t wait for things to get better, don’t put things off today, grab hold of each day and do it.
Take care of yourselves, reach out to others who you feel you can help in any way, be it large or small, and give your loved ones an extra hug ... and tell them how much you love them.
Have a great week, and keep moving...
Jane xx
