Can you do this on the right, do you think?
Do you already know what kind of life you really want?
You may or you may not. Some of my friends for example said that once they retired from work then they would be able to do all the things they wanted to do, free to do what they want, whenever they want, wherever they want. Which implies they haven’t been living the life they really want at all. However, retirement can happen and it still feels the same. This is probably because it's actually nothing to do with working and time, but more to do with being stuck and
accepting that this is their life, and not really knowing what they want their life to be like.
The problem with this is that it is like saying we don’t have a choice. And while we may feel there are obstacles preventing us from doing things, we are still able to choose how and what we do that serves our lives better.
So my challenge to you this week, is to consider your life as it is…
Your answer will probably be that there are some aspects of your life that are what you want, but some aspects that aren’t, and the things that aren’t are weighing you down, making you feel stuck, and stopping you from enjoying the things that you really want to do.
The challenge then, is to accept this, and be curious about how you can start saying No to all the things that are stopping you from having the life you really want, holding your back, keeping you stuck. It is possible to make those changes, you just need to identify them, accept what those changes are and then work out how to make things happen.
