Hello ,
WHAT'S NEW?
This week I have been doing some planning, as I always look 90 days ahead. So I am really looking forward to April, May and June for the JTP family.
Things to mark on your calendar are my live Absolute Beginners Course, starting in April. Then I am excited to announce an ‘In Person’ coffee morning on Saturday 23 April — more details to follow. Finally, I will be launching Jump into June with Jane — a fab online programme to take us through Spring into Summer.

Reformers At Home
There's a new routine available now on the members jtp.zone website this week.
You can join us for Pilates in four main ways — online classes, face-to-face classes, one-to-one sessions, or as a Beginner — more details here.
Maybe you receive this Newsletter every week and have a read, but you still haven’t tried a class, I thought I would share this short video which looks at an introduction to Pilates with JTP.
Now could be the time to start.
Work appropriately for your body, keep away from pain, and if you would like more advice, please contact me directly.
Are you a morning person, or a night owl?
I used to be a night owl, but in the last couple of years — probably since the pandemic began — I have become a morning person. I like nothing more than to get up to a silent house, listening to the birds singing, and waiting for the sun to come up.
Like most people I always intend for my day to be the best it can possibly be so I have a morning routine that prepares for that to happen. I feel that if my mornings start with focus, where I feel productive and feel like things are moving in the right direction, that this pretty much sets up how my day plays out. Of course not always, but when it doesn’t, at least I have had the start I wanted!
I have recently started to read the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. I found a lot of what he explains in his book feels true for me. He gives six activities that he believes make the difference for the day ahead:
- Silence — sitting in silence. This could be meditation, focusing on breath, for 5-10 minutes
- Affirmations — this could be something that we want, the person we want to be — write it down, then say it out loud
- Visualisation — this could be a vision board that you have made for yourself, with images, colours, things in life that bring a smile to our face, or lift us up and make us feel light
- Exercise — to quote Tony Robbins: motion creates emotion. Getting the body moving in whatever way you want — an early morning walk, or Kickstart Pilates!
- Reading — reading for 10 minutes. This could be a motivational book, or just your current read
- Scribing — journaling — gratitude, learning, and how they make us feel.
I realise that reading this it sounds as if these six activities will mean that we can live a perfect life. Maybe we can, maybe we can’t.
We don’t have control over everything that happens in our lives on a daily basis but certainly by having a morning routine full of things that we can control, and that feed our mind, body and soul, we can start the day in the best possible way.
Have a great week, and keep moving...
Jane xx
