Did you watch Glastonbury OR were you actually there?
I love to watch it from the comfort of my own home, my own toilet, my own bed!!
But I do love to see the performances, the crowds, the flags, the banners … it always looks amazing and my nephews have been regular attenders, and tell us how brilliant it is.
The reason I am talking about it is the brilliant (IMO) Paul McCartney. I watched in amazement actually and was blown away not just by the music which is just fantastic, but his obvious enthusiasm, his energy, his joy.
At 80 he was on stage for over 2 hours, and I never felt his energy levels drop, he just loves everything about performing.
He must keep himself fit and active, and he must eat healthily … even though in his youth he might not always have made the right choices health wise ;) but the most important thing is his love, passion and joy for what he has spent his whole life doing — music.
It just reinforced everything I believe — health and fitness doesn’t just come from the physical, but its about our mind, and what we do for ourselves to find the joy … and that rubs off on everyone around us, you only have to look at his band members (aged 67, 66, 63 & 51) to see that.
It's worth watching his set back on iPlayer, I will definitely be doing that, and absorb the inspiration that his performance gives.
