CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS ... to everyone who attended my coffee morning recently and contributed towards Marie Curie — here is Marie Curie's letter of thanks for our donation:
Hi Jane,
Your decision to give a gift of £70.00 is a truly special one, and will enable hardworking Marie Curie Nurses to provide care and support to more people when they need it, right across the UK.
Your support matters
Given the choice, most people would rather die at home. With a Marie Curie Nurse by their side, people living with a terminal illness can remain in comfortable and familiar surroundings. With our bereavement support service, our nurses are also on hand to support loved ones, family members and those affected by death and grief, when they need it most.
This simply wouldn't be possible without supporters like you.
Thank you.
Matthew Reed
Chief Executive
Having experienced Marie Curie Nurses when my Father died, and again when my sister died, it meant we could all be with them at home, and the nurses were brilliant caring for the whole family … I will be forever grateful for the help they provided for our family so will continue to support them whenever I can.
Things To Look Out For In The Coming Weeks
MOVING MORE IN MAY — week beginning 23 May — join my online 6-day programme of 15-20 minutes every day to focus on the mid-section, mobility and creating healthy habits. These sessions will be held early in the morning using props, with a check-in everyday of how you are getting on, and I will be giving out some top tips of how you can change unhealthy habits into good ones. If you aren’t a JTP Zone member
(either online or face-to-face classes) you can buy this package at an early bird price of £25 for the 6 sessions. The sessions will be recorded.
JUMPING INTO JUNE — week beginning 13 June — a 6-day Walk-Fit programme. If you are into counting your daily steps as one of your fitness goals, this programme of 15 minutes every day will show you how to get 2000 steps in without leaving your home.
PILATES AND MINDSET RETREAT — this will be held on Saturday 30 July, and the focus for the day will be to restore, replenish and revitalise. This will be an opportunity to invest in your wellbeing, taking you away from the routine, and allowing you to completely switch off and relax.
More details of all these new events to follow in Newsletters over the next few weeks.
