This week I have a couple of suggestions to make to help with stress, anxiety and dropping energy levels.
Firstly, the walk I had on Friday with some of the JTP Family was wonderful. We met in the car park at the Outwoods in Loughborough and had a good walk round …. Got a bit lost 😱 of course, but eventually found our way back to the cafe and enjoyed a cuppa. The key things about this walk —
fresh air, blue skies, sunshine … it was a lovely day albeit very, very cold … and company. It was time we all set aside for ourselves, we moved our bodies, we chatted, and it felt so lovely to take in the views and the fresh air. This kind of activity when it's with friends, reduces stress levels, and in turn lowers levels of anxiety, helps us physically which boosts our energy levels. Who could ask for anything more.
My second tip this week is something I heard from a mindful meditation coach, again to help with anxiety and will definitely help with mindset. If you are having a particularly difficult/challenging time, set an alarm on your phone on the hour and this alarm is to remind you to stop whatever
you are doing, and think about something which makes you happy, or something that you feel grateful for. It can be anything and the alarm is meant to stop you in your tracks and give your mind an opportunity to pause and focus on something that makes you smile and calms the sympathetic nervous system. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a new thing every time, you might find things keep repeating themselves … that's great — it just means you give that thought some time and focus instead of letting
them pass you by.
Definitely worth a try…
Have a good week folks,
With love from Jane xx
