It has been a year this month that Keith and I moved into our new home, and while we have done quite a lot in terms of renovation — kitchen and bathroom — there is still quite a lot to do.
Decorating is one of the big things that we haven’t
yet started, and there’s quite a lot that we would like to change. The previous owner, for example, seemed to like patchwork wall paper, lots of pink flowers — lovely for her, but not really me and Keith — and this is everywhere! We are definitely procrastinating.
However, I am making September the month for getting STARTED, and sometimes a job can seem bigger in our heads than it actually is once we make a start, and it’s this bit that is the most difficult — the
START.
We all have things that we want to start, but haven’t got round to it yet. It can be something as big as decorating, or it can be sorting through an overcrowded wardrobe of clothes and shoes. It might be that you have thought about starting to meditate, or exercise more regularly — it doesn’t matter what it is.
We might be telling ourselves we will start next week, or after my holiday, or after the weekend. Then we get back from the
holiday, or start the new week and something may happen that means we don’t start.
So here we are — September. It’s a great time to START and those who have just joined JTP have already taken the most difficult step. Whatever it is that you are procrastinating about, this is an opportunity to Start in September.
Here’s a few things to START:
- Start to commit to moving more
- Start to value self care
- Start to say
Yes
- Start to say I can not I can’t
- Start to believe
- Start to invest in YOU!
- Just START
Starting is the hardest part, the rest will follow.
Have a great week, Starting in September with me.
With love
Jane xx
