Don’t take anything for granted …. Certainly this weekend I have been made aware of this, and I’m talking about my body!!
Started with a tumble, bashed my tailbone, didn’t think much of it, until I went to pick up my bag and ‘ping’.
Straightening up, my right side seemed to have gone completely into
spasm.
BUT I had a class to teach, so I did a little bit of stretching, releasing, pulling on all the things I would advise my Pilates family to do, to get things moving so I could carry on.
It certainly made me think about how much I take for granted in life, not just the body, but all sorts of things.
Relationships, happiness, kindness, earth, reward, time … it can slip by without being fully conscious. We can fall into the habit
of simply expecting everything and everyone to be OK, and just carrying on regardless.
So what can we do to change it, become more conscious and move away from taking life for granted?
We can start to listen, to actively and consciously be present, to use our time wisely, stop assuming that everything is OK:
- If we feel like we need time out — take it
- If we are worried about someone in our lives — check in
- If we can change small
things to help the planet — do them
- If we know what we need to feel happy — make it happen
STOP! Take a moment and notice what’s happening right now. How are you feeling? And what do you need to do to realign your life?
My back certainly is telling me something … and I think that the holiday is coming just at the right time.
Have a good week folks — keep moving, looking and feeling good.
With
Love
