We have had a good few weeks of discovering the benefits to our mind and body of celebrations — celebrating wins both big and small, celebrating when a specific goal is achieved, your Ta-Da moments, and this week we are looking at celebrating together.
We all know that celebrating feels good — bringing a little sparkle into the everyday.
But when celebrations are shared, they become even more powerful. They turn into moments that connect us, lift us, and remind us that joy is multiplied when it’s experienced together.
I love nothing more than to celebrate with my friends when they do something that they have either been working hard to achieve, something new in their lives, or something as simple as sharing their joy in a painting they have completed. I celebrate with them and the knock-on effect is it
lifts me up too … almost as if I’ve done it myself.
One of the lovely things about being part of our Pilates family is that we get to witness and cheer on one another’s journeys. Sometimes it’s easier to spot progress in someone else than in ourselves. You might see a fellow classmate moving more freely, standing taller, or achieving an exercise they once thought impossible. Sharing in their success doesn’t take anything away from you — it adds to the sense of
community.
And celebrations don’t stop at the studio door. Over the years, here in the JTP family, we have clapped, cheered and shared in so many life moments:
- when a client becomes a grandparent and welcomes a new little life into the family
- when someone takes a leap of faith and starts a new job
- when a member of the JTP family learns to swim later in life, proving that it’s never too late to try something new.
Every one
of these milestones is worth recognising and pausing for. They’re reminders that life is full of chapters, challenges, and victories — big and small. When we celebrate each other, we create ripples of encouragement that spread far wider than we ever imagine.
This week I want you to:
- think of one person who’s had a recent win (big or small)
- send them a quick message to say I see you — well done!
- notice how you feel afterwards,
too.
So why does it matter?
Celebrating others doesn’t just lift them up — it lifts you too. Shared joy strengthens relationships and creates a ripple effect of positivity.
I’d love you to notice the wins this week. Celebrate your own progress, however small, and don’t forget to celebrate the achievements of those around you. Because when we cheer together, we rise up
together.
Have a fabulous week folks, remember I am here to cheer you on, keep looking, moving and feeling good.
With love and support,
Jane xxx
