Easter and the promise of sun

Hi

Here’s hoping you have had a wonderful Easter weekend — the sun is out today at last and we have beautiful blue skies, which lifts the heart.
A big thank you to everyone who attended my Juicing Event last week to make it such a successful evening — it was such an informative and fun evening too, tasting the juices and getting a better understanding of the benefits of juicing vegetables!!

I hope you have all been experimenting, I certainly have and here is a photo of my Saturday morning juice, a fantastic green colour and I must admit it was really tasty.

Who would have thought we could drink curly kale, getting all that iron in one juice.

A huge thank you to Mairi from FAB Fitness as well, as she has been very kind in sending us information regarding some recipes, and I know Keith is going to email all those who attended and send you the recipe book.

FAB-ulous !!!
Exercise Of The Week
This week I am sending a 12 minute sequence focusing on hip strength and mobility.

The exercises are modifications of Pilates favourites and are aimed at Beginners and Level 1 Improvers.

Even for those of you who are Level 2 Improvers, this sequence is a great foundation sequence to help mobilise and strengthen hips.

Work at the appropriate level for your body.
Keith Here...
I have to admit to being the cause of a delay in responding to Catchup emails over the last week or so. I've been tied up with other things — the second Studio room being one reason — but I've now sorted out all the Catchup paperwork for the next courses and I've started replying to you all. If you're waiting for me to reply to your Catchup request and have not heard from me by the time you're reading this Newsletter, hold tight, you will hear very soon, and certainly before the new courses.

Your Whole Self
In the last week, as a result of the juicing evening, and some of the other events I have been organising to promote health and wellbeing for our JTP family, it has made me look at what works best for me.

Mairi said something very important during her presentation on Wednesday. She said that it was important for everyone to take away what was right and what felt appropriate to them as individuals. This struck a chord with me, because generally I eat healthily, I exercise regularly, and I am very open to having other therapies as and when I feel my body needs it, such as massage.

But I also want to live my life, and be able to have some chocolate if I feel like it, or read a book instead of going out for a run, or have chips if I want them. So I try to live my life by the 80/20 rule — for 80% of the time I do all the things that I know are about improving my life in terms of diet and exercise, but for 20% of the time I let myself off the hook a little.

I believe this is what is best for me, and this is what works for me, quite simply the 80% allows me to have that 20% — so remember the 80/20 rule — it may work for you too!

Have a great week folks, stay fit, happy and healthy and keep moving freely.

Jane, Keith and the rest of the team xxx
