My Juicing Event

Hi

Those of you who have been attending our classes for a while will know that here at Jane Thomas Pilates our aim is to help you achieve optimum health — not just with physical activity but also from the inside out.

Following our hugely successful nutrition evening last year, we are giving you another evening where you can come and learn about how to maximise your health.

This time we are focusing on JUICING as this has become so popular in the last 12 months, and the benefits it has shown to bring are amazing. So I would like to invite you to attend an evening in the company of local Juice Specialist Mairi Taylor of FAB Fitness, who will introduce you to the wonder of juicing and all its health benefits.

Keith covers more information about our FABulous Juicing Event in his section below.

Exercise Of The Week
This week's homework exercise is a rolldown.

The video shows several options and modifications for this exercise, great for stretch and mobility. Choose the appropriate level for your body.

I think it was cold on the day of filming that!!

Keith Here...
Our Juicing Event takes place on 1 April — at Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough. The start time is 7.30pm, and it will run for upto a couple of hours. The Event will be run by Fab Fitness' Mairi Taylor, who is the East Midlands' first qualified Independent Juice Therapist.

Mairi is an absolute mine of information when it comes to juicing. Her courses are accredited by the Complementary Medical Association, and she has qualifications in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition and Juicing, so is the ideal lead for us for our Juicing Event.
Mairi says:

Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired? Are you looking to make some changes to your nutrition plan with the change of the season? Would you like to know a quick and easy way to nourish your body and help balance your hormones, energy and mood?

For those of you who would like the chance to sort the wheat from the wheatgrass, the false sugars from the real sugars, and the juice from the fibre — let yourself be educated, empowered, and able to make the right choice for you at this FABulous Event.

You will get the chance to taste some freshly made juices and ask any questions you may have regarding the benefits of adding juicing to your life.

It promises to be a fantastic evening for all who come, so make sure you don't miss it. The Juicing Event is FREE, yes, that's right — FREE — to all of our regular clients (ie, everyone who comes to a class, or comes for regular individual sessions at our Studio). If you aren't a regular client, but would still like to come, we make a small charge of £5, to help cover our costs.

How Do I Book My Space?
All you need to do is reply to this Newsletter with your request. Spaces are limited though, so please don't leave it too late, and in any case we need to know by Wednesday 25 March so that we can arrange the evening and Mairi can organise her materials. Talking of which, Mairi will be providing some special juices for you to try on the night, and there will be a small charge for these, so bring some pennies with you so you don't miss out.

Your Whole Self
As I sat down to do this today, I am dealing with a headache, which if I am not careful could turn into a migraine!! And it has made me think about what I have been doing over the last 10 days!

I realised that because I had been feeling really well I had let things slip — I haven't done as much exercise, I haven't been eating as well, I haven't been getting to bed early enough, and I have indulged in a couple of glasses too many of alcohol! And I have done this because my body had been moving well, I felt my diet was healthy, I wasn't feeling as tired...

Then boom! I thought I could start eating cake, drinking extra coffee here and there instead of water, staying up to watch tv later than usual... then I begin to feel tired so won't exercise today, feeling a bit glum, so I will have some cake with that extra coffee... then I wonder why I have a headache and I am feeling tired and achey!

So, I have given myself a good talking to: healthy eating today, exercise this afternoon, drinking more water, getting to bed earlier...

If you recognise any of this, then realise it is simple to put right.

Just make the change today, this week, NOW

Have a great week folks, stay fit, happy and healthy and keep moving freely.

From Jane, Keith and the rest of the team xx
