My Juicing Event

Hi

Are you busy leaping into Spring? Partial eclipse... daffodils... tulips starting to poke their heads out of the ground... longer days... lighter nights... it's all looking just lovely!
If you are anything like me, I am totally affected by the number of hours of natural daylight we have, I feel uplifted, positive and fully motivated and enthusiastic about life in general. Fabulous...

And talking of FABulous, remember our Juicing Event on Wednesday 1st April at Rosebery Street Medical Centre.

There's a handful of spaces still available for the event, which is hosted by Mairi Taylor of FAB Fitness.

Remember that the Juicing Event is FREE for all members of the Jane Thomas Pilates family — so if you come to a matwork class, a Reformer class, or have one-to-one sessions at the Studio, then you have a seat free waiting for you and all you have to do is claim it by replying to this email and letting us know you want to come.

However, please remember we do need to know who is coming by this Wednesday 25 March, so that we can get the event organised, and Mairi knows how much she will need to bring with her. So, don't delay, let us know if you would like to come as soon as you can.

If you're not one of our existing clients, and would like to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, then remember you can, for a small fee of £5 which will go towards helping us cover our costs for the evening.

For everyone who registers with us to come, once we know numbers involved, we'll be in touch closer to the event with final details.

It promises to be a great evening, and I really do want as many of you as possible to take advantage of it.

So, Why FREE Events?
I am often asked why I organise and offer free events like our recent Nutrition evening, and our up-coming Juicing event, and also why I offer free taster classes and free 30 minute 1:1 consultations, all at our own expense.

There's a number of reasons why I enjoy and want to provide these opportunities, one of them is because I feel so passionate about providing you with as much knowledge as possible to achieve optimum health, inside and out.

Another reason is because I totally believe in Pilates and how beneficial it can be towards helping us live our lives to the full, and I want to be able to share this with as many people as possible.

I also want to show how much I appreciate everyone who chooses our Pilates programmes, and to show how grateful I am to you all.

So I will continue to provide these opportunities aimed with you in mind in the future, and — for your part — you just need to take full advantage of what Jane Thomas Pilates offers. If you think of an area of wellbeing and health that you would like more information about, please let me know your ideas and I will look into the possibilities.

My Hot Flush Fairy event will be the next date to mark in your diary for later in the year. More details about this soon.
Exercise Of The Week
Here are three different exercises showing how to strengthen your core muscles and work your back, in stages.

First exercise is a foundation exercise of sticky kneeshere is the link.

Second is a table top stability challenge — the link is here.

Final exercise is the first stage of swimming legshere is this link.

These three exercises together help you to develop your core stability as well as exercising your posterior muscles of the upper and lower back.

Remember to work at the appropriate level for your body.
Keith Here...
Our second Studio room is now operational, and we're using it regularly with one-to-one clients. To make it as simple as possible for all Instructors and clients, we've named the rooms Studio 1 (the original Studio room, where our Pilates Reformer Classes and existing one-to-one sessions are run), and Studio 2 (the new room).

Now that Studio 2 is finished, I have already started work renovating the third Studio room (Studio 3), bringing it up to the same standard. This is proving to be an even bigger job than renovating Studio 2 was, simply because it was allowed to fall into an even worse physical state by the previous tenants. I've called them by a few choice terms over the last couple of months, and will continue to do so for the next couple of months, I expect...

Anyway, our deadline for opening Studio 3 — and the complete suite — is 1 May, so that's given me an ambitious target to meet. The three rooms are going to be really nice though, perfect for clients and Instructors alike, and we are thrilled to be able to offer them. Watch this space for more news about the Studio.
How I Feel Inside...
I found this the other day, and it made me chuckle, as well as hitting a chord with me. Thought you might like to see it:
Your Whole Self
Usually, in this section of the newsletter, I take the opportunity to talk about positive mindset and our emotional wellbeing.

However, this week it doesn't feel quite enough, as I know some of you are facing big, possibly life-changing challenges. So all I am going to say is, I am here, I will support, I will care, and this will be ongoing.

Have a great week folks, stay fit, happy and healthy and keep moving freely.

From Jane, Keith and the rest of the team xx
