Our Week

Hello Everyone

Hi

Keith and I had such a lovely few days away last week — we are both thoroughly relaxed and calm.
We stayed in a little holiday cottage in the beautiful Breamish valley in the Cheviots in Northumberland — basically in the middle of nowhere — a fabulous place.

On the right is a picture of our neighbours who greeted us when we got there.

And below is a picture of the view we had from the kitchen door of the cottage.

As you can imagine, our brief time there was so wonderfully peaceful.

We had lots of fresh air and exercise — the weather wasn't too bad at all, it only rained on one day. We had stocked up before we got there, so we only had to take the car out on one day on an "emergency" trip to get some milk from the "local" shop 4 miles away.

Our short break was exactly what the doctor ordered for us both. It was with quite a heavy heart that we left Northumberland on Friday, let me tell you. We really enjoyed our four nights away.

However though, I am very excited that today we start back with all our existing courses — matwork and Reformer — along with a few new courses too.

Welcome back to all of our regular clients returning to your regular courses after the long summer break, and welcome for the first time to all our new and potential clients coming to the new free taster classes we are running this week.

I do hope you all have a great time back in your classes this week. In the words of that great philosophical song, the Hokey Cokey — that's what it's all about!

Exercise Of The Week
Two Exercises of the Week this week.

First is Sticky Knees  — this gets your abdominals working for stability, then the second exercise is Four Point Stability Challenge, which increases the movement and creates more work for those core muscles.

If you get the first one working properly, then the second exercise will simply flow.

Enjoy, and work at the appropriate level for your body.
Your Whole Self
Over the last couple of days I have been deeply saddened, as have most people, when seeing pictures of the refugees fleeing in search of a safer environment for their families and themselves.

It made me realise that in spite of everything that happens in our lives, we are extremely, extremely lucky. So this week I just want you to appreciate yourself, feel love for your life, for the people in your world, and most of all for yourself.

Keith Here...
A big

WELCOME

to all our new and potential clients, coming to the new free taster classes we are running this week. We really hope you enjoy your free taster class,  find out what we can offer you, and join us. Pilates is a fabulous exercise format, which — if done properly — helps to keep you moving freely, keeps you more flexible, and makes you feel great.

I want to give you a few technical details about how we operate classes and courses, so if you join us you will have all the details you need to hand.

First, if you want to plan all your classes for the year, they are all on the website along with all courses throughout the year, listed under the Appointments & Classes tab.

Reformer classes and courses throughout the year too are on the website, under the Pilates Reformer tab.

Second, if you find that you may have to be away for any of your classes, you don't need to actually miss a class at all. We run a Catchups system, so that if you find you are unable to get to any of your classes throughout the year, you can book a Catchup elsewhere (see the Catchups section below).

Just give us as much — and certainly at least 24 hours — notice as possible. You need never miss a single class if you plan your Catchups — and with the Catchups system it's all in your hands.

Third, our new Absolute Beginners Courses come with a free ebook of the week-by-week exercises you will do in your Absolute Beginners class. There is also a week-by-week video of these exercises. If you join us for an Absolute Beginners Course then you will receive an email after your class, with the ebook attached and a link to the week's video.

Watch out for the email. If you don't receive it within 24 hours of joining us after the class, just let us know and we'll chase it up for you.

Finally, although this may seem pointless as you're already here, remember to read this very Newsletter every week. Our Newsletter is our primary means of getting information to you: things like changes in classes, changes in venues, special offers and so on are all covered here first. It's a very important read.

Enjoy your classes, and enjoy your Pilates with us.

Have a great week folks, stay fit, happy and healthy and keep moving freely.

The Important Stuff At The End
Book Your Catchup Here...
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, all you need to do is follow this link to book your Catchup

In the form you'll find there, simply tell us which exact class you are going to miss, as well as as many alternatives for Catchups as possible. If you are looking for alternative classes to your own, remember that all our classes are listed on the website, under the Appointments & Classes tab.

Also, we can offer an alternative to matwork Catchups, in that if you have two Catchup classes, you can exchange these for a single Reformer class as your Catchup — if there is space. You need to check this with us first though.

This Week's Classes
All classes — matwork and Reformer — start back this week.

Due to the fact that we have been let down by our leaflet distributor, we haven't been able to have leaflets delivered around the Loughborough area, so the two new classes planned for Rosebery Street in Loughborough on Wednesday mornings may have to be postponed till we can get the leaflets sent out. We will notify anybody currently on these two class lists by email about what is happening with the two classes shortly.

Next Week's Classes

Next week — ie, from Monday 14 September onward, all classes should be running as planned.
