Firstly, a big

THANK YOU
to my class participants at Rempstone for getting me this lovely bunch of flowers and an inspired card. Thank you for making me feel appreciated and I know you are going to love having Jenny as your instructor, but of course I will still be around for a while… So you haven’t got rid of me completely yet.

Plus feeling very excited about launching our new Absolute Beginners Pilates programmes. We are hoping to run 4 ABCs from 7th September, one at Quorn Village Hall on Monday lunchtimes, Wednesday mornings at Rosebery Street, Thursday evening at Hathern Village Hall, and Friday morning at Rempstone Village Hall.

Anyone who signs up to any of those classes will also have access to our Absolute Beginners Course book, and video links so that they get full support with their programme.

If you know of anyone who is looking for a high quality Pilates class and they haven’t done it before please tell them about us, if they sign up to one of our programmes and our monthly payment scheme, you will get 10% off of your monthly payment, and they will get the best introduction to Pilates they could possibly have.

That is next week. This week though, I am taking some time off and we are heading up North for a few days to recharge our batteries. That will mean I will return looking forward to the start of our new timetable of classes and also looking forward to bringing another year of great Pilates programmes to keep us all active and moving and feeling great.


Exercise Of The Week
As there are no group classes this week I am sending you a short Pilates programme which you can do every day until your next scheduled class.


This is a lovely mixture of strength for your core, arms and shoulders, plus a great stretch at the end.

As with all the exercises I send out, I have shown modifications where appropriate, so please work at the level suitable for your own body.
Your Whole Self
Do you ever feel like you are being tested in your life?

I have — particularly over the last 6 months I have felt extremely tested. Most days have thrown up a new challenge to me, not necessarily ones I would have chosen!

So it made me think that most of us must face this weekly from family, relationships, work, health, physical, emotional… And we all have to deal with these challenges or tests, and how we deal with them can leave us feeling drained and exhausted.

However, ultimately I believe these tests make us stronger, better, more understanding and empowered. So trust yourself, accept the tests, face the challenges, because on the other side the greater you will become.

Not much to say this week, apart from reminding everyone that normal classes resume next week beginning 7 September.

If you want to plan all your classes for the year, they are all on the website along with all courses throughout the year, listed under the Appointments & Classes tab.

Reformer classes and courses throughout the year too are on the website, under the Pilates Reformer tab.

Finally, remember that if you find you are unable to get to any of your classes throughout the year, you can book a Catchup (see the Catchups section below). Just give us as much — and certainly at least 24 hours — notice as possible.

You need never miss a single class if you plan your Catchups.

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, all you need to do is follow this link to book your Catchup

In the form you'll find there, simply tell us which exact class you are going to miss, as well as as many alternatives for Catchups as possible. If you are looking for alternative classes to your own, remember that all our classes are listed on the website, under the Appointments & Classes tab.

Also, we can offer an alternative to matwork Catchups, in that if you have two Catchup classes, you can exchange these for a single Reformer class as your Catchup — if there is space. You need to check this with us first though.

There are no classes — matwork or Reformer — this week. All our Instructors are taking a full week away from classes to recharge their batteries.

Next week — ie, from Monday 7 September onward, we return to a full timetable of classes.
