| Hello Everyone
Hi
A new Reformer class will start at the end of October and this will be held on Thursdays at 12.30 midday.
|
If you have had a free taster and would now like to do a full four week Reformer course, let us know.
You can add the payment to your monthly payment scheme which gives a discount, as with our matwork classes, particularly if you want to continue longer term.
Reformer courses are in four week blocks with an additional week used as the catch up class in case you haven’t been able to attend every week.
Its a great way to progress with your Pilates and as they are small groups you get a lot of individual attention, which I know you love and feel you benefit from.
There are of course only 4 spaces for the group so if you want to sign up, get in touch ASAP with myself or Keith.
This week’s exercise is a Shoulder Bridge, with some extra strength work at the top of the move to add
challenge to our big muscle groups that support and stabilise the lower back.
As with all the exercises work at the appropriate level for your body.
Do you have a favourite hiding place, a place where you go to escape…?
I was listening to a radio programme recently, and the presenters were asking their guests this very same question. And this got me thinking about mine.
At times in my life, I have needed a hiding place, usually when I have had
difficult periods in my life… For example, when I suffered from post natal depression after I had my son George, my hiding place was my exercise, I would go out and run, for an hour, sometimes two.
And I didn’t realise it at the time, but that was my escape from having to face things which were adding to my illness.
Sometimes now, I find my classes and studio sessions are my hiding place, as they take me away from things I may be worrying about, and because I am focused on the teaching I don’t have to think about anything else.
I think our hiding places are very important as they
provide us with time and space, and can fuel our energy levels, our minds and our souls. So if you don’t have one, maybe now is the time to find one, a place where no-body else knows about, where you can take yourself when you feel you need to escape…
As we start to put on more classes for all our Instructors in several venues, it's inevitable that there will
be some classes on at the same time. This has started to cause a few issues with how the Calendar is displayed, with all the details of some simultaneous classes not always being fully visible.
I have been sampling different Calendar applications to see which — if any — are better at handling the information. As a result you'll see the week's classes shown below are a little different. The application gives a
slightly different style to the usual one, but I think it works quite well. See what you think.
Have a great week folks, stay fit, happy and healthy and keep moving
freely.
Jane, Keith and the team xxxx

Book Your Catchup Here...
|
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another
class instead, all you need to do is follow this link to book your Catchup
In the form you'll find there, simply tell us which exact class you are going to
miss, as well as as many alternatives for Catchups as possible. If you are looking for alternative classes to your own, remember that all our classes are listed on the website, under the Appointments & Classes tab.
Also, we can offer an alternative to matwork Catchups, in that if you have two Catchup classes, you can exchange these for a single Reformer class as your Catchup — if there is space. You need to check
this with us first though.

Next Week's Classes
Next week — ie, from Monday 12 October onward — most matwork classes (with the exception of the 9.30am class on Saturday 17 October in Quorn Village Hall, which will not be running) should also be running as planned.
There are no regular Reformer classes that week.

your own doctor or any other health care professional.
You are of course welcome to use these exercises, but you are also reminded that Jane Thomas is not responsible or liable for any injuries incurred by performing any of the exercises given.
