Hello ,

The Mindset workshop being held on 9th January is now fully booked.

Christmas Gifts
I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for the gifts I received leading up to Christmas, I am always overwhelmed by everyone's kindness and generosity — so thank you again, they are much appreciated.

Here I am wearing one of them, as I enjoy playing with my big present from Santa this year. The hat has been made by the wonderful Liz Bolt, from wool provided by her sheep, Betty — so thank you also to Betty Bolt — I love my bobble hat.

Have a great week folks — look, move and feel great!

Countdown to Christmas Results
Celebration!
The success of the Countdown To Christmas programme I ran in the 6 weeks leading up to the big day has been fantastic. From weight loss to improvements in strength, mobility and energy levels. Thank you to everyone who signed up to this programme and for those of you who want to continue to use the workouts in the new year there will be an opportunity to purchase them on DVD, all 12 workouts… Watch this space for availability.

Some of you had some fabulous results over the course of the programme, and I had some wonderful feedback, such as this quote from one of you:

Thanks for a great motivating 6 weeks! I have really enjoyed it! I am aiming to have treats over the Christmas hols, but also be mindful of what I'm eating.

On our hols now, with wellies, walking boots and waterproofs with us to get some walking done in the Cumbrian fells!

In total I lost 11 lbs and a lot of inches, so feeling very motivated to continue!
Thanks Jane and Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thanks again to all who were on the programme.

Exercise Of The Week
As recent research has shown that our gluteals are “better” with Pilates exercise than Yoga, I am sending an exercise specifically to work those glutes this week. This is particularly important because of all the sitting we do over the holiday period, we don’t want those gluteals to get lazy…

That would never do!

Work at the appropriate level for your body, start off with a single repetition, then increase as the week progresses.

Your Whole Self
Be Happy
Have you had people staying with you over the Christmas period? Or you may have been staying with family or friends.

I know it is great to visit and be visited at this time of year, but it can also be exhausting. So try to steal some time for yourself — a little bit of ‘me’ time won’t do any harm, in fact it can sometimes just take half an hour on your own to revitalise and re-energise enough to ensure your guests get the full benefit of your company.

Find a quiet place, take a cup of your favourite beverage, a good book, and invest some time in yourself… Everyone ends up benefiting from this, and provides us with enough energy to sparkle once more!

The Week's Classes
There are no classes — either matwork or Reformer — this week.

There are some matwork classes starting back after the xmas break, week beginning Monday 4 January, in:

Booking A Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and —most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
