We thought that many of you would want to be aware — we had a shock recently when we learned of long-time client Jo Chalmers’ death.
Jo has been coming to Friday evening classes in Hathern for many a year, and lots of you will have known her. She will be missed.
Jo’s funeral is in Dumfries, Scotland — her family home — on Friday 4 March. However, as Scotland is such a distance, classmate and friend Gail thought that it would be nice for anyone who knew Jo might like to remember her a little more locally, so is arranging a walk in Bradgate Park on Sunday 3 April. If you would like to take part then please email Gail Hastilow at gailhastilow@virginmedia.com or call 07985 265905.

Exercise Of The Week
Single Leg circles — this is an exercise currently being taught in some of our Level 2 Improvers classes, and in this video I show modifications for all levels, plus using a prop to help with lengthening and supporting the leg.

Focus on the feeling of recruitment in your deep abdominal muscles, then the mobility being achieved in the hip socket. The muscles in the top of the thigh should be working with this movement.

This exercise covers strength, mobility and stretch, all key principles for Pilates programmes. As with all our exercises work at the appropriate level for your body.

All matwork and Reformer classes are running as planned this week, however Saturday 5 March morning's matwork class is not in its usual Quorn Village Hall venue but is instead in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough.


Book a Catchup

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and —most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
