We're Football Crazy, We're Football Mad

The Jane Thomas Pilates Newsletter
Hello ,

It's EURO 2016, and we are all going football crazy! Of course we are behind our teams: Wales, England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland. Three of my Derby County boys are part of the Republic of Ireland squad, so I am cheering them on. But I do hope all teams do well.

Of course if you aren’t a football fan, but others in your household are, what will you do while they are glued to the TV over the next couple of weeks. Well, here is an idea — you could do the Pilates routine I am sending this week — it is a kneelingless routine. Basically you don’t have to place any weight through the knees.

Think of the football as giving you an opportunity to do more Pilates practice… Hoorah!

Above all, enjoy! Have a great week, look, move and feel good.

Exercise Of The Week
This week we progress our exercises that are suitable for avoiding kneeling. Last week, we looked at alternatives for individual exercises you might meet in a Pilates matwork class. Our Exercise of the Week this week is actually a complete routine for you to do. It is also a nice routine even if you don't need to avoid kneeling. Enjoy!

Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Your Whole Self
1. The reality is we can’t please everyone, so make a decision based on what you believe will be best and stick by it;
2. Don’t fear change, welcome it with open arms, it will often lead to better more wonderful things entering your life;
3. We cannot change anything that has already happened, acknowledge and learn but then let go and move on;
4. Stop putting yourself down, instead of the first thing you think is I can’t… start with I can… or I am good at…
5. Overthinking is the work of the devil… it leads to misunderstandings, miscommunication, and generally digging a deep black hole — so please, please, please stop. It is what it is!

Mary's Volunteer classes on Wednesdays are progressing nicely. Please remember to go if you are booked for them. Mary really appreciates your help.

Book a Catchup

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and —most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
