We all have a choice, and we all have the power to do this for ourselves. I know that if I am feeling worried or frustrated
about things that happen in my daily life, I have a choice.
The choice is whether or not to accept it!
There are always things that are beyond our control — I know I felt angry when my sister was diagnosed with cancer and I felt this anger building up inside me and this was beginning to affect my judgement and my mood on a daily basis. I had to learn to accept it, because I couldn’t change it — it was beyond my
control.
I had to make a choice to accept it, or stay angry and upset — which was pointless. So gradually I have accepted it and I now feel at peace with myself.
This in turn then allowed me to make a choice about the things I could change about the situation. By simply following this rule a lot of angst and worry can be avoided, and in their place comes empowerment and positivity.
So use this as your
mantra this week if you have a situation that is troubling you.
