We all had a great time performing the original 34 Pilates exercises exactly as Joseph Pilates created them, — and I hope everybody else's muscles are aching as much as mine are this
morning...
Future events will include a Back Care Master Class, in which I look at issues relating to lower back pain, and how we can manage the symptoms ourselves with Pilates. I will focus on specific Pilates moves and how to break them down for a more effective programme of exercises for some self-care. Look our for this in the Newsletter shortly.

Two short videos this week, as we take a week off from our classes.
The first is to get the pelvis, lower back and thoracic back moving.
The second is then working to strengthen the stabilising muscles to keep an improved alignment for the spine. Here it is.
Work at the appropriate level for
your body, and definitely keep away from pain.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

As I approach my holiday this week, I am looking forward to some sunshine, heat and most importantly, being by the sea.
For those of you who have been working with me for a long time, you will already know that I love the sea, I love the sound, the smell,
the feel of the sea against my skin... Aah!
And I haven’t seen it much this year, the last time was in March, so my Mind, Body and Soul are definitely in need of the joy that being by the sea brings me.
Thinking about how good this makes me feel, it made me start to think about all the other things that bring me this kind of wholeness and joy, and here are a few from my list:
- Bright blue
skies
- Sunshine
- Autumnal colours on the trees
- Bright, sunny, frosty mornings
- Looking out of my bedroom window and seeing green field, after field, after field
- My pink fuschia bush suddenly having a second blossom
- Bright shiny conkers having fallen from the trees
- The patterns of sunshine as it pokes through the trees
It doesn’t take much really does it, simple things that can bring a smile to my face. What do you have on

As you'll see, there are no classes this week. Nada. Nix. None.
We are closed for a well-deserved break this week (and much of next week), so — like us — take some time for yourself to appreciate what
Pilates does for you, and how much you miss it when there isn't a class.
Please don't turn up for a class (we know who you are!!!), as it won't be on...
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and
would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and —most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will
occur.
