Don’t you just love to laugh?
I do, and I have done a lot of laughing over the last couple of weeks. Firstly, at our Master Class Jane Does Joseph we did laugh a lot together as we performed all 34 (33 and a half) of Joseph’s original exercises in
one hour — an amazing job — and the sound effects as our breathing got a bit challenged was something else!
Then Keith and I have a running joke which goes like this: Keith and I were shopping for a new mobile phone, and the young man serving us was checking some personal information and asked what year I was born. When I replied Keith said in astonishment How Old?... Totally unexpected. To which I snorted and laughed and the young man looked bewildered and
concerned that I had revealed my real age to the man I was with!!!
Over the years this has been ongoing, and Keith, at every opportunity, has used this, and sadly, every time he does it makes me laugh. Well, at the weekend, I bumped into someone I used to play hockey with and haven’t seen for over 20 years — I introduced her to Keith and explained that I used to play hockey with her 20 plus years ago to which Keith stated… Yes you have guessed
it.
It made me laugh again, it always makes me laugh… and I suppose the reason I am sharing this with you is that laughing is great. It's good for us, and we can always find something to laugh about, even if it is the sad little, ongoing jokes you share with your friends, family, work colleagues.
There's a lot of serious things going on in our world, and in our lives, so it is really important to take some time to find the funny, and to laugh
and enjoy whenever, wherever you can.
