We have a clutch of new Absolute Beginners Courses starting in January — it's always a great time of year to start thinking of getting a bit fitter — so if you know of anybody who would like to take up Pilates it could be a great way for them to get into it.

Pilates — as you already know — is a fantastic way to improve muscle tone, become more flexible, improve posture, ease back and joint pains, move more freely, and strengthen your body.

We know that. You know that. But maybe you know of someone else who doesn't know that. Yet!

Better than that — our Absolute Beginners Courses have three main advantages over starting to do Pilates anywhere else:
  1. Absolute Beginners groups are limited to only 8 particpiants, and as everyone is at exactly the same Absolute Beginners stage, your Pilates Coach is able to spend the time needed with you, at the time you need it, to coach you correctly in your Pilates technique
  2. each Absolute Beginners Course is accompanied by a FREE highly illustrated and descriptive hard-copy book, which details all the exercises you do in your weekly classes of the course, so that you can practise the exercises at home
  3. each Absolute Beginners class also has an accompanying video of all the exercises you have done in the week's class, so that you can follow along at home.

To kick all the new Absolute Beginners Courses in January off, we have several FREE Taster Sessions available — all on Wednesday 4 January (with courses starting the following week):
  • 9.30am-10.15am in St Mary's Church Hall, East Leake
  • 10.30am-11.15am in St Mary's Church Hall, East Leake
  • 10.30am-11.15am in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough
  • 11.30am-12.15pm in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough
  • 7.00pm-7.45pm in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough

So, please, if you know of anyone who would benefit from Pilates (and we all do, don't we?), let them know about our new Absolute Beginners Courses and the FREE Taster Sessions on 4 January. There is lots more information on the website about it here, and please feel free to forward this Newsletter to them, and tell them to get in touch with us by reply if they want to join us.

We know from past experience that these FREE Taster Sessions are likely to be quite busy so we do recommend they book a free space as soon as possible. As we restrict numbers in our Absolute Beginners Courses to only 8 people, spaces in the courses are strictly limited, and Karen is already taking bookings.

If you know of anyone who might appreciate a Christmas prezzie of an Absolute Beginners Course, let us know as we can provide you with an Absolute Beginners Course voucher for you to give them on the day itself.

The End of the Year
As you'll have gathered from the subject line of this Newsletter, there will be no Newsletter next week (that is, on Boxing Day). The next Newsletter will be on Monday 2 January.

The Week's Classes

Other than one class — an Absolute Beginners Course matwork Thursday 22 December, at 8pm in Rosebery Street Medical Centre (which is an extra class) all other classes (matwork and Reformer) have finished for the holidays.

Classes return over the fortnight from 4 January to 14 January. Check your Newsletter on 2 January for details of which classes return in which order.

Book a Catchup

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.

Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
