The Jane Thomas Pilates Newsletter
Hello
Thank you for all the responses to my request to find a venue for my VIP days. I think I may have found my place, so I am doing some investigations this coming week to ensure it is exactly what I am looking for.

I cannot believe we are heading towards February this week, everything seems to be going so quickly …. spring will be here before we know it!

We will be having some new Pilates classes starting at St Joseph's Tea Room, Whitwick in early March, so again if you know of anyone who is looking to start Pilates, or looking for a class please pass our details on.

Everyone who starts with us is entitled to a free taster class, so there is absolutely no obligation, and our beginners classes are very well supported. They are small groups, no bigger than 8 people per class, so that everyone receives the best possible coaching and attention. To accompany our Absolute Beginners Classes there is an accompanying book which runs through the basics, and weekly videos to encourage practice at  home. It is a truly great way to be introduced to Pilates, and all our Pilates Coaches are passionate about their teaching and caring about the people who attend their classes.

We would be truly grateful if you could pass on our details to friends and family who are looking for some help in becoming more active or learning a new exercise programme, looking for help with aches and pains, or wanting to move more freely — we can do this for them. Nothing is better than a word of mouth recommendation, and we know that whoever you recommend will simply L-U-R-V-E Pilates with us.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

Your Whole Self
A good friend and mentor of mine sent me a card this week with the words “find your inner peace …

And — as it was intended — it made me start to think about what that means for me.

Immediately, “inner peace” has certain implications I believe, perhaps for some it could be spiritual, it could be linked to a faith, or beliefs that we may hold on to, or meditational. It perhaps always links in some way to being quiet, silent, still, no sound, but unfortunately at the moment that isn’t helping me find my inner peace.

Working hard on switching off my brain by focusing on my breathing and being quiet isn’t enough, so I am definitely going to be listening to more music, playing my piano, watching films, reading for leisure, singing, dancing around my kitchen.

I am sure that with some time I will find my quiet, silence, stillness, but for now, turn the volume up please... ;-)

Book a Catchup

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.

Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
