The Jane Thomas Pilates Newsletter
Hello
HAPPY EASTER ! Here’s hoping the sun is shining, the chocolate has been eaten, and you have made the most of the Bank Holidays. Time for DIY, Spring Cleaning, Gardening, visiting, relaxing, resting… in general doing what makes you happy.

We are taking a little break this week, a proper break, not a pretend break, as we head away for a few days. It will be our first proper holiday for a very long time, so I am looking forward to putting my feet up on a sun bed, and reading a proper book, not just a book about work, but an actual novel!

We need to recharge our batteries, and regain some energy for Spring and all things new and exciting that are to come!
Reformer Spaces
Just a quick shout out to all of our matwork clients: we have a couple of spaces vacated in our very popular Reformer classes — one in the 9am Thursday class, and the other in the 12.30pm Thursday class. If any of our regular matwork clients are interested in boosting their Pilates to a higher level, Reformer classes represent the ideal way to do this. As these classes have been running for a long time, they are not suitable for Pilates beginners.

If you are interested, in the first instance get in touch and we'll send further information. You can also check the website for further details about Reformers, what they are, and what they can do for you.

Have a brilliant week everybody, recognise that you are enough, and keep looking, moving and feeling good.

Exercise Of The Week
Again because we have no regular classes this week, I am sending another short routine to work on. It lasts approximately 11 minutes so easy to fit in to your daily routine.

As with all our EOTW and routines, you should work at the appropriate level for your body. This routine will provide a good level of challenge for all Improvers.

Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Your Whole Self
I want you to focus on happiness, health and vitality this week!

I believe that the language we choose to use can make a huge difference to our levels of happiness, how we feel about our health, and our levels of vitality. So if someone pays you a compliment, accept it with thanks.

Only talk about the things you are doing, or have completed. Don’t make a list of what you have to do at the start of the day, make a list of what you have accomplished at the end of the day instead. In conversations choose words that are all about moving forwards, achievements, congratulations, words that enhance the mood.

Don’t be disappointed in what hasn’t worked, be proud that you have tried something and learnt a lot from the experience. Catch yourself before saying something, anything, negative about yourself and replace it with something positive, words, statements and affirmations.

Not many classes this week. For matwork, the two Absolute Beginners classes at St Joseph's Tearoom, Whitwick on Thursday evening 20 April, and the Saturday morning 22 April Quorn Village Hall class are the only classes this week.

The Saturday 22 April Reformer class is running too.

Book a Catchup

If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.

Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.

Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.

Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
