Well, Easter is over and it's back to classes as of this week, with all classes — matwork and Reformer — running as normal.
Talking of Easter, Keith and I managed to clear our desks for a few days last week, and for a last minute holiday grabbed a bargain in Spain. Only five days, but a welcome retreat to clear our heads, relax, and read a book or two. The first three days we had great weather, and spent a bit of time in the
fresh air on the beach or the balcony. But then the weather changed — windy, cool, and quite stormy.
The view from our balcony is shown right.
The Med — normally quite calm and with few waves to speak of — became uncommonly rough (well, we've never seen it like that). In fact, as you'll see in the two
photographs here, a bit like like the North Sea at our most favourite spot in the world — Whitby...
Rough weather just seems to follow us. Anyway, stormy weather or not, it was still relaxing and we had a great time. Our batteries have been recharged.
Reformer
Spaces... We still have a few spaces in a couple of our Pilates Reformer classes. Reformers represent a great opportunity to progress with your Pilates and keep on looking, moving and feeling great. Micro-groups of only four people mean you get some specific work for your body as your Coach is able to check your every move!! Those who already do Reformers report back all the time on how different it makes their bodies feel and those who double-up classes (doing
matwork and Reformer) feel their matwork has become more effective as well.
Contact us if you would like to give a Reformer class a try.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

All classes are back up and running this week so I am sending you a focus exercise for mobility and strength.
Shoulder Bridge — using a soft ball between knees (a cushion will work just as well). Remember to work appropriately for your body — if
you have issues with mobility in the lower back due to fusion of discs for example — try lifting the spine in a straight line and return in a straight line, but only come up to the base of your shoulder blades.
Everyone should maintain a connection between the bottom rib and the top of the pelvis with this exercise to prevent the ribs from flaring and therefore pushing the tummy out into a dome. Enjoy!
Feel the
difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't — you are right!
Have you every talked yourself out of doing something? I know I have in the past, through fear of failing or fear of the unknown…
But isn’t life too short for living it by these fears?
I think it is! So this week we are practising saying yes we can… Beliefs are just thoughts, so if we can start believing and making these thoughts our truth, but making them a more positive truth then saying yes we can… becomes more of our reality.

All matwork and all Reformer classes are running for the new course, all in their correct venues, all at their correct times.
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead,
just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
