Our Pilates Reformer classes are all now fully booked. So, I apologise if you have missed out this time, but the spaces do tend to get booked up quickly due to the benefits they provide for your body when you are working on them. Keep a check on the Newsletter for future spaces if you think you would like to give this a try.
Biomechanics Success
Our
Biomechanics programmes continue to deliver with great results in keeping bodies moving freely. Here is a wonderful testimonial from one of our happy JTP family members:
Since Christmas time I had been suffering some pain with my shoulder and I talked to Jenny about it in a pilates session. I tried some massage, hot and cold compress and ibuprofen and arnica gel but it was still there. Then Jenny
suggested a biomechanics screening which I went for on April 6th. Jenny took measurements, gave me a couple of video clips and put me through some simple exercises and stretches. I came away with a release for my trapezius muscles which she asked me to practise 3 times a day. Some days I did practise 3 times a day and sometimes I didn't and after 2 weeks blamed myself for the lack of improvement. However I persevered and within 2–3 weeks of the screening the shoulder suddenly felt better. Now 3
weeks to the day since screening I am 99% free of the pain! So thankyou Jenny and I promise I will continue with the releases, perhaps not 3 times a day, but they are worth doing as I know they work.
Anne.
It is all about the commitment to actively work at keeping your body moving, and ensuring the correct bit of you is doing the
correct movement. Pilates fits so well with Biomechanics. The Biomechanics screens help us to identify what isn’t quite working properly in the body, once this has been corrected, the Pilates exercises ensure you don’t ever go back there!!
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

We have had a lot of people join us for the first time this week in our Absolute Beginners classes, and we would like to welcome you to our extended family.
Just for those who are new, I am putting on a beginners side work sequence for you to start
practising at home now that you have been introduced to some of the basic foundations of Pilates in your taster class.
With all of our Exercise Of The Weeks and mini-routines I want to stress how important it is to work at the appropriate level for your body, keep away from pain, and be patient with your progress!
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

I saw this brilliant quote today and it made me want to stand up and cheer:
The things that make you different are the things that make you.
As we are all unique, one of the many reasons I love Pilates is how
it is unique to every single one of us.
As we move, and feel our bodies responding to what we want them to do, it is all about the different responses we get from our bodies. This is what makes us be us…
This week lets celebrate being us, let's celebrate our differences, let's celebrate our uniqueness.
Have a fantastic week, keep looking, moving and feeling good and enjoy the May Day Bank
Holiday.

Other than classes on Bank Holiday Monday which obviously aren't running, all classes this week are running as they should — except that Rempstone Village Hall is being used as a Polling Station on Thursday 4 May, so there are no
6.30–7.30pm and 7.30–8.30pm classes that day.
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead,
just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
