Exciting week coming up — really looking forward to welcoming Cherry Baker to tell us all about keeping our Pelvic Floor healthy on Saturday 15th — the seminar is now full to brimming and we cannot accept any more names, I’m afraid.
Plus, following the feedback I received last week about what you would like us to include in our programme, I am busy planning our new timetable from September to take us into the new year! There
will be some different opportunities for us to keep our bodies moving, keep our bodies healthy and keep us being able to do the things we love.
One last thing — we had a major glitch with the JTP website last week. Our webhosts apparently had a catastrophic failure of their main server, which brought the whole site down
for around 24 hours. It's all thankfully back up-and-running again now though, but gave us (well, Keith anyway) a bit of a headache while it was down.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

It would seem that when the weather is good (as it has been over the last week or so) we sit or lie down outside on our sun loungers or deck chairs (in my case), and I believe this has affected the mobility in my back.
So here's a few mobility
and stretches for that all important mid-section of spine which can get just a bit sticky at this time of year. The exercises can be done in standing, sitting on a chair or sitting on the floor or a yoga block.
As with all our Exercises Of The Week, please work appropriately for your body.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Last week, I was asked by a colleague what I loved to do with my spare time.
This got me thinking, because I teach Pilates and I run my own business, so I actually feel like I don’t have that much spare time. Plus I love teaching Pilates so I am very very lucky to do
something that I love.
And what I realised was that I actually love to move, I have a deep-seated need to move, it makes me feel healthy, physically and emotionally, I get rid of so much stress when I am moving, it gives me free time to think, it is my meditation, it is my feel good place, I always want to be able to move.
So what I love to do with my spare time is move, and my Pilates allows me to keep moving — it keeps my muscles
strong, it gives me more mobility and flexibility, it addresses my imbalances so I move more freely.
What one thing do you have a deep seated need to be able to continue to do?

This week is the last week of most of our regular term-time classes.
Next week (week commencing 17 July) we start our Summer Timetable, so check your copy of it to make sure you don't miss any of your
booked classes over the summer.
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead,
just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
