We still have some spaces available in some of our classes, right across the timetable at various venues and days and times.
We also have spaces in these Absolute Beginners Classes:
- Wednesdays 1pm, in Elizabeth Park Sports Centre, Thurmaston
- Wednesdays 7pm, in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough
So if you know of anyone who you think will benefit from starting Pilates
please ask them to get in touch with us to book a free taster.
Plus if you feel you would like to add a second class to your weekly timetable then there are spaces in our Level 1 and Level 2 classes. As we know the benefits of doing Pilates more often, we like to encourage people to do more than one class a week, so we do offer the second class at a reduced rate. Just email us and check out the details.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

I love this week’s video, I am showing you a brilliant stretch for the hip flexors (and the psoas) which can get tight if you spend the majority of your time sitting at a desk or sitting using a laptop, or driving.
Then I look at some foundation
work for the core, building stamina into those deep stabilising muscles.
Finally I show you a great stretch for the glutes, particularly hitting the muscles which are responsible for lateral rotation of the leg at the hip, so the muscles that we use every time we get out of a car, or when we get up from a chair at a desk or table.
This is a great set of exercises. If you have a few problems of weight bearing through the knees, you can try the
stretch with extra padding under the knee itself. If balance is a problem have a chair by your side to help with stability. It is also possible to do the hip flexor stretch from a standing position — if you are needing this stretch but want to know how to do without putting any pressure on the knee, please email me for further details.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

This week I am sending you a link to an address given by Tim Minchin at a University graduation ceremony.
I love the speech — it's funny, it's meaningful, it's motivational without being preachy and it is real. It particularly resonates with me in that it speaks about
the importance of living your life in the here and now, experiencing today and being thankful and appreciating the small stuff.
Tim talks about the importance of moving our bodies and how this can make us feel, and the effect this can have on our lives.
He also talks about not rushing, celebrating the successes, being compassionate and sharing. This leads him into talking about teachers and that how we can all be teachers, sharing what
we know, sharing our love, sharing our passion.
I love it, so I hope you all do too. Have a watch and see what you think.

Short and sweet — all classes, all venues, all running.
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead,
just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
