HAPPY NEW YEAR!
A New Year, a new you, a new me…
If you are thinking about trying something new then perhaps you have been thinking about trying a micro-group Pilates Reformer class with us. Our Reformer classes are extremely popular with those of you who want to boost their Pilates to a new level — so popular that,
so far, each of the eight classes we have put on has been fully booked almost immediately.
Our New Year's good news is we have some more Reformer classes starting in January. These are ideal for anyone who has done Pilates matwork but would like to try something new and different with their Pilates workouts.
The new classes are as follows: - Wednesdays 8.00-9.00am
- Wednesdays 9.00-10.00am
- Thursdays
6.00-7.00pm
Our micro-group Reformer sessions are like receiving personal training because there are only 4 spaces in a class — personal training at an achievable price.
If you would like to book a space in a class, or get more information, all you have to do is reply to this Newsletter and we'll get back to you with details. Classes will be running from Wednesday 10 January but don't leave it too long to apply, as we expect the new
classes will fill quickly.
We will be adding further Reformer classes to our timetable in the very near future, so please get in touch if you are interested in classes on other days/times.
FINAL REMINDER
DON’T FORGET OUR WELLBEING AND MOVEMENT THROUGH PILATES DAY ON SATURDAY 6
JANUARY, AT ROSEBERY STREET MEDICAL CENTRE — IN THE OLD INFANT SCHOOL HALL FROM 10.00AM-4.00PM.
IF YOU HAVE BOOKED A SESSION… FANTASTIC!
IF YOU HAVEN’T BOOKED… PLEASE DO STILL COME ALONG AND DROP IN, AS THERE WILL BE LIGHT REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE, AND THE TEAM WILL BE AVAILABLE TO CHAT AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.
PLUS YOU CAN SAMPLE PILATES ON THE REFORMER AND THE WUNDA CHAIR — ALL FOR FREE!
Keep looking, moving and feeling good in 2018 — and make it your year to commit.

In case you are feeling a little bit static after the Christmas and New Year festivities and want to try and get your body moving again, I am showing a Roll Down exercise. This is used a lot in Pilates classes.
A Roll Down is not always the best
exercise though for every single body, so I have shown some variations in the video, but also be very mindful when practising this!
If you can feel pain in the back or referred pain into the buttocks and legs when you start to perform this, please stop and do not continue, but please feel free to email me so that I can give you an alternative.
As with all of our exercises of the week, please keep away from pain and work at the appropriate
level for your body.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

A new year always gets us thinking about new beginnings, trying new things, making changes in our lives to make things feel or look better.
We may have intentions to eat more healthily, exercise more, get to bed earlier, spend more time reading OR in my
case getting back to my music and playing the piano more often.
Whatever it is, we often start the new year with good intentions, and after a few months when we get back into work and our day to day routine we let our intentions slip.
So why not make this year the year to commit to those intentions, make commitment your intention, set some goals, set some deadlines, then commit to them.
I am going to commit
to playing my piano more than once in a blue moon in 2018… make me accountable!

Not many classes this week — only on Thursday 4 January. First is the 10am class in Hathern Village Hall, and then the 6.30pm and 7.30pm classes in Rempstone Village Hall. These are replacement classes for those missed a few weeks
ago.
All classes, matwork and Reformer, restart next week though for the new term — week beginning 8 January — so the Christmas break is then officially over... :-(
Finally, please remember the Wellbeing and Movement Through Pilates Day is on Saturday 6 January.
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead,
just follow the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
