WELCOME TO JUNE...
The time is Now!
Lots of news about classes this week. First, each of our matwork clients has had an email about
their classes over the next term. It's a long term which includes classes over the summer holidays. Make sure you read the email, as it gives your class term-time and summer timetable dates.
Spaces Next, we have spaces in some of our mixed level classes throughout the week so if you are thinking of joining or doubling up your matwork classes, now would be a great time to take that opportunity. Reply to this
Newsletter for more details.
Pelvic Floor Workshop Cara Tatterton, one of the JTP team of Coaches, will be running another 5 week Diamond Pilates Pelvic Floor course starting on Saturday 16th June. If you are interested, please reply to this Newsletter for further details.
Beginners Reformers Tanya Davies, another of the
JTP team of Coaches, will be running a 6 week Summer Special Pilates Reformer Course from August. This will be a Beginners Reformer course, so is an ideal opportunity to try out the Pilates Reformer, and we will be providing more details over the next few weeks. There will only be 4 spaces available, as our Reformer sessions are aimed at micro-group training. Reply to this Newsletter if you are interested for further details.
As
Featured on the BBC — ME!!! Finally, Radio Leicester has invited me in next week for a slot on the mid-morning show, to talk about Pilates as a feature during Men's Health Week. Glue yourself to your radio and listen out for me. I'll give you all some more information in next week's Newsletter.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling great.

This week I am demonstrating a Mermaid Stretch to help with mobility and stretch of the lateral sling of muscles that move and support our mid-section of the spine. Keep the deep abdominal recruitment to support the stretch and help to stabilise the lower back, and keep
your gaze looking forwards rather than down.
Repeat 4 times on each side of the body.
As with all Exercises Of The Week, perform at the appropriate level for your body, and keep away from pain.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

As I started this week’s newsletter with the statement The Time is Now… this will be our focus for Your Whole Self this week.
As a sufferer of anxiety, I recognise that much of my anxiety comes from me focusing on things that haven’t actually happened yet, and
possibly will never happen. My focus tends to take me to a dark place and then it spirals out of control until my anxiety affects me physically as well as emotionally.
I have searched out help and having tried a number of approaches to assist me with this, I have recently had some hypnotherapy sessions. These sessions have given me the tools to help me work on keeping my anxiety under control.
One of the tools is to definitely share what is
happening, because often we don’t feel able to tell others how it feels, but the more we talk and explain the more understanding we are likely to receive.
The other main focus for me is to focus on the here and now… so much time is lost worrying about what might happen, that I find I miss out on the beauty and joy of what is happening right now.
So if you can recognise any of the above, then try this week to focus purely on what is
happening in your life right now, enjoy the people around you, take pleasure from what you are able to do now, recognise when you are feeing excited or nervous as these are acceptable emotions. Keep them in perspective, and if you find you are worrying because you don’t have anything to worry about, then take a step back and stop!
The time is now. Your time is now!

Click the Calendar to View Larger
All matwork classes are running as planned, all in their correct venues, at the correct days and times. Not all Reformer classes are running however, so please check before leaving for a Reformer class if yours is one that's not running
this week.
Youll see from the image above (and when you click or tap it to view enlarged) that we are now using the new Calendar. This is much better as it allows you to step through from week to week to see when your classes are and aren't running, and it also gives much more details about the class itself (venue, Coach etc).
Book a Catchup
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, and would like to book a space in another class instead, just follow
the link to book it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a
Catchup.
Please also let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchup system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class Pilates Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link
here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best way to let Karen know.
