Welcome September!
Just a few classes running this week — while we finish off our summer timetable — then from 10 September we head into our new year and a full timetable.
Please check the Calendar (see link below) to find out if your class is on this week, OR you could check back through your emails to 1
June when Keith sent out all of the dates for your classes over the Summer. Obviously, most of you will have the dates pinned to your own calendars at home!
For those of you who feel you aren’t always getting the Newsletter or our emails, please make sure that you mark our emails as “Not Junk” because your Junk Mail folder is probably where they are ending up. Sometimes system providers will “junk” or ‘spam” our emails automatically because we do send out a lot so it is
a good idea to ensure that we are on your Contacts list.
If you are new to our free weekly Newsletter I would like to welcome you, this is the place to keep up-to-date with our news, check for classes, check for information about up and coming free events, plus you get a Pilates exercise to try and practise at home every week. Sometimes, as I have done this week, I will send out a short routine, particularly when there aren’t many classes
happening.
Further NewsWe do still have some spaces in up-and-coming classes — specifically we have a couple of spaces in our Absolute Beginners Course which starts on Saturday 8 September at Rosebery Street Medical Centre, at 9.30am. Let those nearest and dearest to you know about what we do — they get a unique introduction to Pilates, small groups, an accompanying manual which each class week by
week, plus a weekly video to help you practise at home. Our system is very thorough and very supportive to ensure you get the best possible introduction to Pilates as an exercise programme. Absolute Beginners Courses are six weeks long.
We also have some spaces in our new Wednesday 9.00am Reformer class at our Studio in Loughborough. Our Reformer classes are for a maximum of only 4 people so this is really an opportunity to get some personal training
in a micro-group environment at a lot less than half the price of a private training session. The new classes on Wednesday mornings are aimed at beginners to the Reformer, so ideal if you are looking to add to your current Pilates practice.
There are also some ongoing spaces in a couple of our Mixed Level matwork classes so if you are thinking of adding a second class to your timetable or if you know of someone who is looking to join a Pilates class please pass on our
details. All information about our classes can be found on our website, but also easiest is just to reply to this Newsletter and ask for details.
Have a fantastic week folks — keep looking, moving and feeling
great.

A short routine to keep you moving throughout the week. As with all of our Exercises Of The Week, please work at the appropriate level for your body and keep away from pain.
I do provide modifications during the routine, so please watch
first and then just do it!
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

September is one of my favourite months — it is a month of change, even more so than January the start of the year in my eyes. I love that we are moving from our Summer into Autumn, the colours that surround us are changing but we still have the beautiful blue skies and
brightness.
It is always a month of change for us with our business as well and an opportunity to start to plan some new things, like adding more Reformer classes to our timetable. We are taking on some extra space at our Studio in Loughborough which will enable us to look at adding more diversity to what we can offer to our Pilates family. So we are currently going through a state of change.
Some of the team are also facing some changes, due
to other commitments and demands on their time. Such as Jenny’s Tuesday morning class at Rempstone — from 11 September Cara is going to teach this class for Jane Thomas Pilates. Jenny has family commitments which she needs to make time for so she has to make some changes to enable her to manage this. Also, Traudi will continue to teach the classes at Old Woodhouse on Friday mornings indefinitely, as I continue to work on improving the JTP service and also make the necessary changes to my life in
order to stay fit and healthy.
Sometimes we become cautious about change, but I always see it as a positive thing — it stops us from becoming complacent, it can sometimes push our boundaries and make us step out of our ‘comfort zone’. It can sometimes give us a shock into taking action, or push us to try something new. It can also remind us that things do not have to stay the same.
I also think that when change happens it reminds us
how temporary everything really is. So it might be the weather and the seasons changing, but we know it's just for now, and that this is what it is, but tomorrow it can all be different.

Not too many classes running this week — our last week of the Summer Timetable — so make sure you check to see if your class is running.
Next week though — week beginning 10 September — all classes return
to the normal Timetable.
Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a space in another class instead, just
follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot
guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
