Last week was a great start back, lots of us … and I include myself in this … feeling a little bit stiff and achey, so it was brilliant to get back to classes and get our bodies moving again. It was also lovely to see everyone in class after my extended break.
We had a couple of Absolute Beginners Courses starting last week and they enjoyed lesson number 1, all receiving their week 1 video to practise at home, which will
help with their progress.
Cara also started her 3rd Pelvic Floor Workshop from Saturday and that is successfully running for the next few weeks.
We would also like to ask that if anyone is interested in a free taster Pilates Reformer class, we have a space on Wednesday 14th November at 9am, so please let us know if you would like to take this opportunity.
I hope this week brings you joy and hope, keep your body moving and keep focusing on the good ... one step at a time.

I had a number of requests from people in classes last week asking what they could do to release some lower back/sciatic nerve impingement so here is a very simple exercise that can be done every day to help mobilise the nerve and get the lower back
moving.
I am also providing a second exercise this week to help with mobility of the spine, strength of the core, stability challenge for the pelvis and shoulders — yes it is the Shoulder Bridge, and is shown here. I am currently doing the Shoulder Bridge in class, so many of you will be familiar with it already.
As with all our Exercises of the Week, please work at an appropriate level for your body, do NOT push through pain, and check in with your class teacher if you feel unsure.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more
balanced.

I am very excited while typing this week’s Newsletter, as I eagerly await the arrival of my latest great-nephew/niece! One of my gorgeous nephews and his wife are due to have their baby any minute now … who knows by the time you sit down to read this week’s Newsletter, he/she may well have
been born into our family.
I currently have 7 great nieces and nephews and although I don’t see them all very much, I do feel very proud of each and everyone of them, as I keep up-to-date with what they are doing and achieving.
There is something really special about hearing of their successes, and hearing the love that their parents (my nephews and their wives) share as they spread the latest
news.
There is also something very special about being there when things aren’t going so well. I always remember that when one of my nephews was having a difficult time in his life, he felt that he couldn’t share everything with his Dad (my brother) but he did feel able to come to us. No judgement, no ideal solution, no promises that everything would be ok, no unwanted advice … just simple love, support, and being there.
And this is
what the latest addition to our family will experience — love, support, and being here.

Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a
space in another class instead, just follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only
give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of
registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
