Regular readers of my Newsletters will be aware that — occasionally — some email providers put emails from JTP into their Junk Mail folders for no apparent reason. Typically, email providers such as Hotmail, AOL, Live.com, Outlook are the main culprits, and I can only think that they have so much junk mail (or spam as it's often called) going through their systems that they try to solve the problem in a blunderbuss way by blocking lots of
emails en masse (including some that are legimate), rather than in an intelligent, nuanced manner.
As you can imagine, this is highly frustrating for us as a business. We also know we're not the only business suffering from it, as it's a general problem worldwide. We can even be in the middle of an email thread with a client, with regular emails passing between us, and all of a sudden the thread stops and we don't get a reply from them — we know from experience that this usually means our last email has been directed into the client's Junk Mail folder. Another problem for us is when a
potential new client emails us for infomation about joining us... We reply, then hear nothing further.
Apart from anything else, this can make us — as a company — appear quite rude. For the client, it can appear as though we've ignored them. But nothing is further from the truth. Please don't think us rude if you have been expecting an email from us and don't appear to get a reply.
Unfortunately we have no solution to this for our clients. There is absolutely nothing that we can do to make sure our emails come into your Inboxes rather than your Junk Mail folders. It is an email provider issue that we have no control over. So please don't blame us.
I mention all this simply because it looks as though Gmail — which has always in the past allowed our emails through without issue — has started to put some of our emails into some clients' Junk Mail folders.
The only two things we can suggest for all of you are that:
- if you're expecting an email from us and it doesn't arrive, please keep checking your Junk Mail folders and if it's there mark it as Not Junk
- you can also add our email addresses to your contact lists in the hope that your email provider doesn't override your decisions.
Hopefully, this will make sure you receive our emails correctly.
Have a great week folks, keep looking, moving and feeling good.

This week I am breaking down the exercise called The Saw. This can be a tricky little exercise to teach, to perform and to practise. It also brings with it a few contraindications regarding the flexing of the spine and the rotation all happening at the same time. For example, it is not recommended for anyone who has osteoporosis of the spine, or for any new mums who may be suffering with diastasis.
However, these are movements that on a daily basis we do without thinking, so what we need to do is practise being strong with the supporting muscles through the movement. The Saw aims to increase mobility and strength when rotating and flexing the spine.
As with every Exercise Of The Week — work at the appropriate level for your body and keep away from pain.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

As we head into the last week of November, we all know that Christmas is fast approaching. While it can be a fantastic time of year for most, celebrating and connecting with family and friends, it can also bring a level of stress, difficult memories, and challenging times for
others.
My Mum and Dad loved Christmas, and what they loved the most was spending time with us. In fact whenever we asked Mum what she would like, her answer was always “I just want to spend time with you”.
So, as we start to head into the festive period and we start to plan and decide what we want to do, maybe start to plan who you like to spend time with, and gift yourself some time. Find those friends and family who lift your spirits, who are your cheerleaders and celebrate with you when you have good things to share, but also who are there with support when things aren’t feeling so good. Recognise the difference between spending time with people who make you feel light and frothy, and
those people who make you feel heavy of heart, and gift yourself the light and frothy.
Don’t let yourself get dragged into the heaviness of the stress, allow yourself time and spend it with those who truly raise your spirits.

All classes — matwork and Reformer — are running as planned, all in their correct venues, at the correct days and times.
Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a
space in another class instead, just follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only
give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of
registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
