We're still mid-xmas break, so there are no classes this week. Classes return next week, starting Monday 7 January.
However, there is one class this week... it is a free class for all regular JTP class/session participants:
PILATES WITH THE FOAM ROLLER WORKSHOP
Saturday 5th January, 9.30–10.30am, Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough
ONLY 15 SPACES AVAILABLE — FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED — REPLY TO THIS NEWSLETTER TO REQUEST A SPACE. We expect there to be a demand, so please reply quickly to avoid disappoinment.
Quorn Monday Class Time Changes
On our return after xmas, the Quorn Village Hall Monday morning classes have a slight time change, all running 15 minutes earlier than they were before the break. As of 7 January, the Monday Quorn classes will run at these times:
- 9.15am-10.15am
- 10.30am-11.30am
- 11.45am-12.45pm
Please note the new times if you have been coming to the classes when Helen ran them. We've had to bring them all 15 minutes earlier than they were so that Sue — the new Coach of the classes — could fit them into her schedule.
Class Closures
Despite losing Coaches suddenly at Christmas who between them taught around a third of all our classes, we are very happy to say that we have managed to rearrange remaining Coaches so that we have only had to close a much smaller number of classes than we originally had thought we would have to.
Apologies once more to members of those small handful of classes we have ultimately been forced to close (only those classes in Gorse Covert and The Base) but to all those involved — we really do appreciate your understanding, and hope that you have already arranged your move into one of our other classes. We have been emailing everyone concerned who haven't already been in touch with us, but — given our ongoing problems with our emails often going into Junk Mail
or Spam folders — please contact us if you are in one of the affected classes and haven't yet sorted your replacement class or let us know what you'd like to do.
Charity Matters
Finally, Tanya has asked me to include a note for her class members:
I just wanted to say a big Thank You to all who came to my Christmas classes in the last week before Christmas. We had great fun and enjoyed home-made mince pies and gingerbread men after class. Also, with kind and generous donations from everyone, we raised an amazing £70 for charity. I was overwhelmed by the generosity from all. Thank you so much ❤️
The £70 has been donated to EDS UK — which is a charity set up for those, like me, who live with the connective tissue disorder EDS or HSD (Ehlers-Danos Syndrome/Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder). Not too much is known about EDS/HSD and so this money I'm sure will help with ongoing research.
For those with it, Pilates is recommended as a means for managing the condition. Pilates therefore has been my saviour and continues to be so. How lucky am I to be able to share it with you all.
