Well it was quite a week last week! It was our first week back after the half-term break so everyone was keen to get back into class and get moving, plus it was a busy week for us with a full timetable of teaching, new clients coming for free consultations at the studio, new Reformer Pilates classes starting and a couple of Absolute Beginners Courses starting.
On top of this we had to handle me being stuck in traffic — so my Tuesday morning class had to be semi-abandoned — we will arrange an extra class and get the date to everyone as soon as we have checked venue availability. Then on Wednesday unfortunately Mary was ill — it was a dreaded sickness bug which attacked her late on Tuesday evening so we were not able to get cover. Again all of those classes will be rearranged and a new date will be sent out to everyone who was due to
attend.
One positive thing about Mary's illness by the way, is that her Absolute Beginners Course that was due to start last week, at 5pm on Wednesday in Loughborough, will now start this Wednesday 13 March. There are still a couple of spaces, so that leaves a couple of days for any new people to enrol. Reply to this Newsletter for further details.
In other news, lots of things are going to be happening in the Jane Thomas Pilates world, and I will be keeping everyone up to date with all things new — so make sure you keep checking this Newsletter for updates.

Because we have lots of beginners checking into our Newsletter I thought I would show a little sequence that everyone can do that will enable you to work on your deep stabilising muscles, hip strength and mobility, and mobility of the spine.
Ten minutes a day is as good as or even better than doing one hour a week, so this little sequence when practised every day will improve balance, strength, mobility and give an overall feeling of wellbeing. Work at an appropriate level for your body and keep away from pain.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Even though last week was busy, and we had other things to deal with in terms of everyday life, like our toilet being blocked and this affecting our washing machine, shower …. everything! I was still very lucky to enjoy some family time.
My brother and sister-in-law were visiting so we had a good time with them, even though my brother still insists on doing his Frank Spencer impersonation and all the nephews and nieces are looking at him in puzzlement as they don’t know who Frank Spencer is! Then I had a lovely meal with my son George and his fiancé Amy to celebrate my birthday.
It was a busy week — but good.
Over the last few years family time has become even more precious to me than before, so no matter how busy things get, and how much I feel I have to cram into a week, a day, an hour, I have come to realise the importance of finding time for my nearest and dearest, those people who lift my spirits and my heart. I am grateful for my family and the support they have given me over the years, so no matter how many bad impersonations my brother does, I will always make that time my
priority.
Have a great week folks, make some time to spend with those who are special to you ….. “Mmmm Betty!”

Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a
space in another class instead, just follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only
give us one alternative, we cannot guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of
registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
