A couple of weeks ago one of my class participants reached one of those significant birthdays, and as I try not to miss the significant ones, I sent my best wishes.
In her reply she thanked me for all my help in getting her to the ripe old age in good shape.
Obviously, it is really special when I get messages of thanks, I really appreciate them and it fills my heart with joy. I do want to take this opportunity to point out though, that really all I do and all any of the teachers who work with me do, is facilitate and guide and advise.
We can motivate and encourage and we can tell you what you can do, what you should try, what you need to do, but ultimately you have a choice. The choice — YOUR choice — is whether to follow the advice, or not. The choice is being determined to build, improve and maintain the ability to stay active and strong.
We know that the best results come from the positive, committed choices that you make, and this is where our role as Coaches comes in, as we then will encourage with care and attention and provide you with the motivation to get the results you deserve.
So as much as I love the thanks and never take them for granted, it's you and the choices you make, and the action you take that will really make the difference.
Cheers to you, cheers to you and your choices, cheers to you and your actions … Cheers everyone!
