OCTOBER IS HERE!
And don’t we know it … I feel like the JTP family is limping across the finish line for this first half of our term. We have had illness upon illness, and then last week the rain came and came and came. Floods all over the place, roads closed, diversions and cues of traffic, people getting stuck, homes being flooded, cars breaking down … wow! Well we got through it and relatively all in one piece … thankfully.
Anyway, I want to say thank you to everyone in our classes for all your wonderful understanding of our problems, and for cheerfully coming along to classes that have been covered by another member of the JTP Team than your normal Coach. We are doing everything we possibly can to return things back to normal, and as soon as practicable.
Weather to be or not...
Is it going to be one of those winters? Well it might be — and all this rain we've had doesn't bode well — so I will just say that we do have a bad weather policy on our website, but wherever possible — if it is a last minute cancellation due to weather — we will always try to contact individuals directly by text message.
With this in mind — now might be a good time for you to ensure we have an up-to-date mobile number for you (if you don’t have a mobile then obviously we need the best way of contacting you please) in the case of an emergency. And if you are in any doubt you can always phone or text us to make sure you have our number in your list of contacts. What's New?
An ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS WORKSHOP will be starting on Tuesday 29 October, at 9.30am in our Studio. Our Absolute Beginners Workshops are intensive, three-weekly, hour-long classes, limited to just 4 people to ensure that there is individual care and attention. This means that the Workshops give a very detailed introduction to the foundations of Pilates, to get your body ready to join one of our regular classes going forward.
If you are reading this Newsletter and haven’t yet started Pilates but want to give it a go then this could be your first step towards getting your body moving more freely, building some strength in your deep stabilising muscles and the muscles in the back, and building confidence to feel able to join a bigger class.

Reformers
We are also planninng to start more new Beginners Reformer Pilates classes shortly — one on an evening and another during the day. We have yet to finalise details but we will make sure you all know first here. If you are interested in getting any pre-announcement news about new Reformer classes, please just reply to this Newsletter remembering to include your mobile number.
When is Half-term?
Last bit of news is to remember that next week — week beginning 14 October — is the start of our half-term break. There are very few classes on that week (actually, only the two Wednesday evening 16 October Reformer classes at the time of writing).
The week after that is also a break for some classes, though there are some others that are running (catch up classes for illnesses, venue closures etc).
Anyway, to save any confusion — just remember to check the online Calendar (link below) to see if your class is running or not.
