So here we are at the end of another year, and yet again I am amazed at how the time has flown by.
I am looking forward to the year ahead and all that it promises. There will be some changes in the JTP world, new experiences and new challenges to face, which I can’t wait to share with you all.
We start our year with the Wellbeing Day on Saturday 4th January at Rosebery Street Medical Centre and I am expecting to see lots of you there taking full advantage of the taster sessions available and joining us for a cuppa and a catch up. There are still some spaces available, so its not too late. The planned sessions are:
- 9.30am–10.15am — Cara — Pelvic Floor Health and Pilates
- 10.30am–11.15am — Gem — Back Care Pilates
- 11.30am–12.15pm — Traudi — Hog Pilates
- 12.30pm–1.15pm — Tanya — Breast Cancer Post Operative Rehabilitation *(see below)
- 1.30pm–2.15pm — Zoe — Silver Swans
- 2.30pm–3.15pm — Wendy — Mindful Meditation
Although some sessions (Back Care, and Hog) are already fully booked, there are still some spaces left in other sessions.
The Wellbeing Day is in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough (in the Old Infants School Hall where we run our regular Pilates matwork classes).
Remember, this is entirely free for everyone, whether you take Pilates with us or not. Even if you don't want to come to a session, there's lots more going on behind the scenes you can enjoy so please do come along. We will have a Reformer, and a Wunda Chair on hand, so you can try them out, chat to our Coaches, have light refreshments, and generally have a great time. If the Wellbeing Day is anything like our last one, it's going to be a fantastic day for everyone who comes.
*Our certified Pink Ribbon Post Rehab Specialist Pilates Coach, Tanya is running the Breast Cancer Post Operative Rehabilitation session and will be looking at the huge journey undertaken — from diagnosis, to cancer surgery, to therapy (radio/chemo/hormone), right through to reconstruction surgery. Each surgery type and resultant therapy has a huge impact, with loss of mobility and flexibility in both affected area and donor areas (reconstruction) of the body, along with
managing lymphoedema, being the most commonly reported noted concerns following treatment. In the session, you’ll get to meet others who have been on the journey, share stories and learn some beginnings of exercises that can help begin to rebuild your range of movement and address common concerns. You also don't need to have gone through this journey yourself to benefit from Tanya's session but perhaps you know someone who is, and you can bring along a friend if you like.
To book a space in any session or simply get more details about our Wellbeing Day, just reply to this Newsletter including your mobile number.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.
After the Wellbeing Day, regular matwork and Reformer classes start back week beginning 6 January.
Finally, all I want to say is THANK YOU for following us over 2019, we hope you will continue to do so in 2020.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
With love from
Jane, Keith and the team xxxxxxx

Repeated here is the complete 12 Pilates Days of Christmas Routine — all the exercises over previous Exercises Of The Week, placed into a flowing routine which lasts just about 15 minutes.
It is short and snappy so easy to fit into your day over the holidays.
Enjoy it everyone … and work at the appropriate level for your body.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

2020 is a B-I-G year for me as I will be having my 60th birthday, AND I will be a Grandma by the end of May … so there will be lots to celebrate.
Lots of people are already asking me how I intend to celebrate turning 60 and so far I have had a few thoughts, but one of the team suggested I throw this out to the JTP family to see what they might suggest … so that is exactly what I am going to do …
What do you think?
I should point out that I am afraid of heights, I don’t like roller coasters, and I am not a very good swimmer … other than that … oh, and I don’t like surprises!!!
Starting a new year is often a time to contemplate and think about what we could change, what we want to achieve, or what we would like to keep the same, whether we have a special birthday or not. So what has made you think about things you want to change, or what you have enjoyed so much that you want to continue and repeat? I would love to hear …

It's the second week of our xmas break of course, so there are no classes at all this week.
However, please remember our Welbeing Day on Saturday 4 January — from 9.30am to 3.15pm — in Rosebery Street Medical Centre, Loughborough (see above). It's open to all-comers, and we are looking forward to seeing you there.
Matwork and Reformer classes all start back to full timetable next week, from Monday 6 January.
Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a space in another class instead, just
follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot
guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
