Our latest Absolute Beginners
Workshop started last week, so we welcome to the JTP Family those who have signed up to this class. We hope you enjoy and feel the benefits of receiving such individual attention with your introduction to Pilates, and we look forward to seeing you progress and potentially join one of our regular classes once you have completed the 3 week course. More Absolute Beginners Workshops will follow in March if needed, so if you're interested in starting Pilates in this absolutely ideal way, just reply
to this Newsletter, and include your mobile number.
Our latest Reformer classes are ongoing and we are finding more and more people are interested in joining our small groups for Pilates Reformer, I think this follows on from the recent article in The Times which showed Andy Murray, David Beckham and Matthew McConaughey as ‘A’ listers for doing Pilates regularly as part of their fitness regime. I can’t promise that we can get this kind of physique, however I can promise that Reformer Pilates improves the strength of your back, it will
improve your mobility and flexibility and it will challenge the whole body, leading to better posture, and better movement. If you want to find out more just let us know by replying to this Newsletter, remembering to include your mobile number. You can start Reformer Pilates either as a complete beginner to Pilates, or as an experienced matwork participant.
Have a great week folks, keep looking, moving and feeling good.

This week I am sharing a routine from my online programme Be the Best You, You Can Be.
I have probably included this before in my Newsletters because it is a routine I love, I did it this morning and remembered precisely why I love it.
It challenged my body, it makes me move my spine in all planes of movement which helps with my overall mobility for the whole day, and it just made me smile and feel good. So I hope that it does the same for you.
As with all my Exercises Of The Week, work at an appropriate level for your body and keep away from pain.
Feel the difference, move differently, and look more balanced.

Over the last week I have been placed in a dilemma as a business owner, and this isn’t new — for anyone who works for themselves and runs their own business, it is a fairly common occurrence where something happens which is out of your control but will have consequences on
your business and sometimes your integrity and the philosophy behind the business.
What it has made me recognise is that this is the side of the business which I don’t like. It makes me feel uncomfortable and for me it is highly stressful. When you read about business owners they always say that you have to take the ‘personal’ out of the business — ‘don’t take it personally’ is something I hear a lot… and this is the challenge for me. I find it very difficult to not take things personally, or at least think about the personal aspect of why I do what I do.
We have lots of classes, not all taught by me, but I do take full responsibility for each and everyone of those classes and the people who attend, and the Coaches in my JTP Team who teach them. If something isn’t working in the best possible way it doesn’t sit easily with me. I remembered what was important to me when I first started to work in the fitness industry, reliability, commitment, turning up and being the best possible version of me I could be, and making the people who attend the
class THE most important part of my teaching.
As we move into February, it means that I am stepping back and looking at how I can deal with the dilemmas in the best possible way and how I can ensure that what I believe to be important within the business is actually what we are achieving … if it isn’t then I have to face up and make some changes. Rest assured that at the heart of everything that might change it will always be with the best interests of everyone it affects, as what was important to me when I first started, still
is at the heart of everything and every decision I make.
I’m afraid I don’t want to take the personal out of it, because it is personal.

Book a Catchup/Missing Class
If you know you will have to miss a class in your course for any reason, want to let us know or would like to book a space in another class instead, just
follow the link to register it. Our Glamourous Assistant Karen runs the Catchups system, and this link is the quickest, most direct means (it's even faster than emailing her!) of letting Karen and your class Coach know.
Simply tell us the class you will miss and — most important if you want to book a Catchup — please give us as many alternatives as possible. If you only give us one alternative, we cannot
guarantee you will get a Catchup.
Please let us know if you will miss your class but don't want a Catchup — the whole Catchups system relies on knowing when spaces will occur.
Finally, please don't just tell your class class Coach you will be missing a class, as your Coach is not aware of Catchups spaces and has no means of registering your space. Karen needs to know, and the link here (it's also at the bottom of our website too) is the best and fastest way to let Karen know.
