HOPE
Hope is something that we hold onto because we want something to happen, like we hope to visit Paris or we hope that Leicester Tigers win their next rugby game. We also use hope as a verb in that we hope to become a grandma one day ... something which 2 years ago I was probably saying to anyone who wanted to listen...
However, I feel like HOPE has taken on a whole new meaning for all of us during 2020. We are all hoping to stay well and healthy, we are hoping our nearest and dearest stay safe and don’t become ill with the coronavirus, we are hoping to be able to share Christmas and be with our loved ones. We have been hoping that the medical experts and scientists produce
a vaccine that will be safe and protect us, and we hope that this will be one step towards us getting back to ‘normal’.
I think it is a word that defines our current situation. We need HOPE, we need hopefulness, we need to have belief, expectation, optimism. If we have HOPE it will contribute towards our wellness, happiness and motivate us to hold on to positivity and action. We can find HOPE in unexpected places, in expressing our feelings, practicing gratitude, and looking
at possibilities not limitations.
My HOPE is ongoing, it is a belief that things will work, it is a belief that we will get through this, it is a belief that what can seem impossible will become possible.
