Are you thinking about getting out into the world again?
Now that the children have gone back to school and students are returning to normal in our universities and colleges, everyone is thinking about getting back into some kind of circulation. More of us are getting vaccinated — I’ve had my first but not had an appointment for my second yet.
I recognise that some people just cannot wait to get back out there, but I also know some who are feeling nervous about things returning to ‘normal’.
I think throughout the whole time of lockdowns and semi-lockdowns, we have probably felt a roller coaster of emotions about what is happening to us. But I do believe we can now start to think about where we will visit the first time we are allowed? Are you planning holidays or at least thinking about them? I have mixed feelings, I’m not sure that I am ready to get on a plane just yet, but it would be nice for Keith and I to take off with our caravan. We only got it last year, and so far
it's only been to Buxton ... and our drive!!!
I also miss the theatre ... live theatre used to be something Keith and I loved. The last year will have been devastating for theatre land and all the people who worked in that area, so I do hope that they can get back up and running, because I can’t wait to get out to see a show again.
So what is the one thing you have missed most? Apart from the hugs and time with your loved ones, obviously.
Whatever we feel about it, whether we can’t wait, or we feel nervous, we can be sure that we are dealing with a changing world again, and that at least is something that we have all had lots of experience of in the last year.
Face-to-Face Classes
Talking of getting back into a new ‘normal’, nothing much to report on our face-to-face classes at the moment. I have had some communication with a couple of our venues, but at the moment – and until Government guidelines allow — there are no plans for a restart date of indoor group exercise classes.
Fortunately my Online Classes continue... (see next)
