Here they are:
- Results of the survey we held a couple of weeks ago have told us that the majority of you want to KEEP AND REMAIN ONLINE ... so this is to confirm that these will continue.
- Face-to-face classes will be starting week beginning 7 June in the following venues, with the following teachers:
Wednesdays — Rosebery Street — with Mary
- 9.15am
- 10.30am
- 6.00pm
- 7.15pm
Thursdays — Rempstone Village Hall — with Jenny
Fridays — Rempstone Village Hall — with Jenny
Fridays — Old Woodhouse Village Hall — with Traudi
- Those of you who are continuing with the jtp.zone online classes have received a 20% discount for the face-to-face classes if you want to do both, AND you have priority booking until close of play on Monday 31 May. We had some issues with our emails last week, but you should have all received a text message now with the link taking you through to the booking pages.
- If you aren’t currently a paying member of the jtp.zone you will be receiving a special Newsletter on Tuesday 1 June giving you the details about booking for our face-to-face classes, so keep a check on your inbox. As our emails can land in junk/spam (which we have no control over at our end) please also check there if you haven’t received anything.
- My intention is to keep the online classes going AND to provide some face-to-face classes. Personally, my intention is to teach some face-to-face classes myself at some point, but because of the popularity of the online classes and the need to keep these going, I am taking time to plan how I can teach both. Without online classes I would not have been able to get the face-to-face classes back up and running, and
the fact is that the majority of you voted for online classes to continue so my aim is to provide both to the best of my ability.
Talking of online classes — here is the timetable for the coming week…

Start at the ABC
And if you are brand- or relatively-new to Pilates, I currently have an offer of a Free Absolute Beginners Course, which starts from the very beginning of Pilates, introduces you to the correct techniques and exercises you need to know to take your Pilates further, and gets you to the stage where you can join my regular classes afterwards. The Free Absolute Beginners Course comes with six class videos progressing you through the basics of Pilates,
and is complete with a Free 52-page full-colour book, detailing the exercises and classes — so you can practise as often as you want over the two months of the Course. Click or tap here for more information about my Free Absolute Beginners Course.
This week has been a challenge for me, at times I have felt like throwing the computer through the window ... but instead I stopped, walked away, took a few deep breaths, focused on gratitude for the things that felt right. It was time to calm the brain, stretch my body, allow stress to leave the body by breathing deeply, and slowing everything down. I
still had to go back and face the problems that technology were throwing at me, but the frustration was less, my mind cleared and so I was able to look at it differently and work out a solution. Mindset won’t make problems disappear, but it helps us to deal with those problems better, it makes the problems feel different, so the heaviness gets lighter.
If you are interested in working on your mindset I am starting Self-Care Saturdays from 5 June. These will be 30 minute sessions, live in Zoom from 8.45am and initially will run for 5 weeks.
The areas we will cover in Self-Care Saturdays are:
- How to change your Thoughts & Beliefs
- Law of Attraction & how it works
- Be Activated & the mind/body connection
- States — Past, Present & Future
- The Ego
You can of course stay online for the Pilates class at 9.30am afterwards if you choose OR you can just do the 30 minutes with me.
All you need is a pen and paper in case you want to make some notes, and be there. The sessions will be recorded.
If you are interested but aren’t currently a member of jtp.zone you can still join in and get the links by replying to this Newsletter.
This week I am sharing the Mermaid Stretch — this isn’t a classic Joseph Pilates exercise but it is a transitional stretch that we use to prepare the body for more movement and also to take us from one position to the next.
Keep away from pain and work appropriately for your body.
Have a great week everyone — keep moving, and keeping safe!
Jane xx
