Are You At Level 10?
Throughout my career in fitness I have always continued to attend training and development courses regularly and I am happy to say these have continued over the last 18 months as they have been online. The courses are not always Pilates-specific, as I believe in personal development as much as continuing to develop and keep up to date with my knowledge
in Pilates and fitness.
I have another course coming up and some of you know I have been studying with the Open University for a degree in Sport Psychology. Everything I do is aimed at me striving to be better, and being better able to help everyone who comes to me for Pilates, because even though a course may not be Pilates-related, I always learn something that will help me
to become a better teacher.
Why do I do this? I believe it’s because I am looking to be a level 10 in all areas of life. Whether this be health, relationships, spirituality... Level 10 sounds a bit scary it sounds like perfection but that's not what I mean. Let me add some perspective. It is my level 10 … different to everyone else’s of course, but that doesn’t matter.
We can all achieve our own level 10, maybe not every day, but think about how it feels some days, if we are prepared to commit and apply consistency of thought and action, those level 10 days will become more consistent.
Lots of people come to JTP sessions because they want to change their lives in some way, they may have aches and pains — sometimes chronic pain — they may want to maintain flexibility and strength, they may want to make a change in order to allow them to live their best life. They want to feel fitter, they want to feel healthier, they want to invest in their
wellbeing and that is what JTP wants to help everyone achieve.
Here is a lovely email from one of my class participants:
Hi Jane,
I just thought I'd drop you a line to say thank you for showing me that exercise to help with my sciatic nerve. I've only been doing it a few days and already it's so much better! Who needs physios hey! I'm so glad I know you.
Thanks again
Jo
Jo has committed in thought and action to working towards living her best life, and her improved movement is already helping her reach her level 10.
Jo’s level 10 is different to others, but it is her’s and she has taken ownership of that. Remember, it doesn’t have to be anyone else’s — it just has to be yours — so own it.
