If you follow me on Social Media you will know that Keith and I have been on a bit of a road trip over the last week, and as I write this Newsletter my view from my ‘office’ is Edinburgh Castle.

Basically this trip was postponed from 2020. Keith had planned it as a celebration of me turning 60 in March 2020 and it was to tie in with some training that I was participating in when we arrived in Edinburgh. Of course as we all know lockdown happened due to the Pandemic plus the small, additional problem of Keith being seriously ill and in hospital, so everything Keith had planned was put on hold.

Another year on, and we are now taking that trip. We have travelled along the North East Coast and seen and walked along some wonderful beaches, the scenery has been breathtaking, it's been wonderful, and it's not over yet.

One of the reasons I wanted to share this was to make the point of how sometimes we find ourselves saying I want to go to … but it's not the right time OR If the timing was better I would like to …

But we shouldn’t live our lives waiting for the right time to do something, because when is the right time? If we wait until we have enough money, or enough time, or not as much responsibility … we can always find something that could potentially stop us from living the life we want to live.

The problem is that if we put things off until the time is right, other things happen, other things come along that put up another barrier/reason/excuse to make the time not right.

Truth is, Keith and I could have found reasons not to take this trip … lots of reasons, Keith still gets very tired, and has to rest during the day, I would be leaving my classes both online and face-to-face, just as we were getting things back up and running … and other health/family related issues … but we decided it had to be done now because those other things weren’t going to change anytime soon, so potentially there would never be a perfect time to take this trip.

So is there a perfect time, or a right time? …. Of course there is — the perfect time is NOW!

Please remember — there is no Quorn Village Hall Monday 9.30am class this week (while Jane is away), and no classes with Traudi in Old Woodhouse Hall on Friday morning (due to the Hall being used for another purpose). All other face-to-face classes are running this week.
